Great video. This is without a doubt one of the best channels on KZbin for mixing and mastering. Thank you for providing such elegant, clear and focused content. I always learn more than I expect. Sometimes the very subtle moves are the most effective. Excellent!

Can you make a mixing series showing how to mix and master a song from start to finish?
@saviwaves53372 жыл бұрын
actually Ozone 7-9's Dynamics plugin/tab can work as a multiband expander and it can also be used in parallel. it's a go to of mine for masters.
@michaeltucker14112 жыл бұрын
yes! It's not my go-to for regular compression, but it's multiband function is certainly great. I rarely use it for it's expansion purpose, but you're very right, it's incredibly easy for multiband expansion.

I thought it`s weird that I transfer Eq settings sometimes, but now I`m more than confident! Also why boost fundamentals on vocals with linear phase? Because of too many bands or what?

Hello sir Can a very good Computer Improve OutPut Quality? My system is a bit slow. Windows i3 64 bit .The DAW used is cubase 5 & 7 with 32 bit plugins, but it is not difficult to work with. Will the out put quality be more better if the computer is made better?
@1flashstep2 жыл бұрын
no , unless you going to use a sample rate under 44.1khz you should be fine , better computer doesnt = better sound :)

Really bad advice here. The less you fuck up the signal, the better it comes out. Change mics or mic position to change tone. Play with proximity effect. Try different gain settings on your preamp. Once the signal is captured focus on levels. No compression, no eq. Use a tasteful delay and maybe a reverb if you have a dry signal. Mostly no reverb is the way to go.

What do you mean by no?
@JeffoftheShout2 жыл бұрын
@@doppewaxy282, I think “No”means it this shouldn’t be sold as the way to Mix Vocals. Instead, These should be sold as advanced techniques for people that already know the basics. People should use plug-ins as needed, or see if they can get it done with a pro, tried and true vocal chain like: Pitch correction (if necessary), Parametric EQ, saturation, 1176 Comp with a fast attack and release and LA-2A with a slow attack and release.

@@JeffoftheShout you're 100% right, there's no need for fancy stuff in many, many songs. I'll add a pulteq if I may 😁
