Great video! I'm of European descent, with some other stuff thrown in the mix, and definitely classify as Caucasian, but I know I'm far from the color white. So I went to a paint store and held paintchips up to my arm to get a better grasp on my skin tone. It turns out I'm not white at all, but "Nutmeg Spice". I wonder if I can put that on my Driver's License.😊

1. The moment you started mixing I instinctively went "Oh no, is the baby still stranded in the chair??" Haha the power of storytelling. 2. Mom bun and yet perfect red lipstick and cat eye. 🙌🙌🙌 3. What an incredible entertainer and teacher you are. Can't wait to binge your videos.

Thank you Margot ❤ We raised 6… Sometimes I feel a little selfish for spending so much time with my paints now the children are grown. But I remind myself that I earned my free time now… 😂❤ Time with children goes by quickly. If I missed a day of floor cleaning I just told myself that there isn’t much difference between one days worth of dust and two days worth. And time spent now teaching them to help is recouped later when they can help without you… paying it forward… ☺️💝

Oh gosh I remember those kind of days. You’re doing fabulous with them 😘. As for mixing skin tones & colors, 🤯OMG… yes! I would have never thought of red & green making such a watered down light neutral skin tone. 😳 You make this look so easy & simple. And here I have been using Daniel Smith’s Buff Titanium as my base then adding yellows, reds, & blues depending on the tone of the color I needed. I love 💕 your simple way of doing this & I am really going to have to give it a try. Thanks for sharing this humorous, informational video on a challenging subject. I really appreciate it! Enjoy your time with your your wonderful family. It goes by quickly! Have a fantastic weekend Margot!🥰🌷💖

I have so many questions about how you handle motherhood and artistry. I have three kids, 5/3/2 years old. They want to “help” or paint too, which is great and I want to encourage them, but it’s just chaos. I can’t get anything done except feeling frustrated. Mostly my art supplies stay tucked away trying to keep them safe and obviously that means they mostly stay unused. Help!

@@exnaborrascalvo6315 In the video, Margot mentioned Phthalo Blue. DS has both Phthalo Blue (red shade) and Phthalo Blue (green shade). My guess is that you could use either but in your base, reduce the red if using Phthalo Blue (red shade) and reduce the green if using Phthalo Blue (green shade). You probably don't have to reduce by much, but a quick experiment or two will guide you.
