Here i show you how to install any mod from Nexus into Helldivers 2 very easily and once you get it setup for the first time, it will take less than 1 minutes to install any other mods afterwards

HELLDIVERS 2 is a 3rd person squad-based shooter that sees the elite forces of the Helldivers battling to win an intergalactic struggle to rid the galaxy of the rising alien threats. From a 3rd person perspective, players use a variety of weapons (pistols, machine guns, flamethrowers) and stratagems (turrets, airstrikes, etc.) to shoot and kill the alien threats. Players can also aim down the sights for a more accurate 1st person camera view. Combat is accompanied by frequent sprays of blood and dismemberment as players exterminate the alien forces or players and squad mates are hit by environmental explosions or friendly fire. Enemy encampments and battlefield environments depict bloodstains and dismembered corpses.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT use VORTEX to install your mods, it doesn't understand how the file renaming system works for Helldivers and will cause errors. Only use the HD2 Mod Manager! Forgot to mention in the video, when you install and open the mod manager it may come up with windows defender saying its a virus. Don't worry it's definitely safe, and you can continue. @Jarismic I know a friend of mine would love the hour glass female helldiver. She's all about the curves and feminine aesthetic. She might pair it with the animal ear helmets if they can stack. XD I'm more interested in possible weapon skin mods. Maybe some armor skin mods. I'm a fan of red and we don't have much outside of the recent....hellhound? Is that what it's called? The flinch reduction is cool but not as cool as having 2 extra stims that last longer like the medic armor. I went from fortified to medic sets but not a fan of the green to them. (I know I'm being picky)

@luimtegger haha your friend won't have any issues finding feminine character mods, you can definitely get the cat ears mod to work with other mods too but you have to do it in a particular order in the mod managert (put the cat ears on top). There's also a huge amount of halo mods for weapons if you're into that. Also if your like red check out the different chaosdiver mods too

Hey guys, apparently many of you are having problems with getting the mods to work. This is only happening recently and is either the mod manager or the mods themselves not working. If you open the mod manager and click on the discord icon on it, itll take you to their modding server and you can ask for some help there to get the mods to work

@Jarismic so it was no error and I figured it out, weirdly enough. I had to go back in my files, EXTRACT IT AGAIN and then pin the file to my task bar! Now it works perfectly fine.

That ones a pretty big mod and it's got so many items so it's a bit confusing how to install and not as simple as doing what I showed in this video. You'll have to download which ever version you want, then there should be multiple folders in it (like "body" and "blue visor"). I think you might have to zip each folder (like "body") and install that single folder into mod manager and do the same for the rest of the folders. It gets a bit confusing with big mods like that one, so I suggest going to the modding discord server by clicking the discord icon on the mod manager and asking for some help there

Yep! I've played with tons of different mods online with random people as well as friends. However because the mods are client sided, only you will see the mods

You should be able to just delete the folder you keep MM in and then just use the old one. But if you get any issues, you can find out how to get to your %appdata% and delete the Helldivers2ModManager folder. You’re welcome to join my discord if you need someone to show you how to

Not usually no. Does it come up with an error or just not work. Also do none of the mods work, or just one having problems?

Yeah a few of them are mutually exclusive, some armors share materials and stuff I guess, usually the b08, infiltrator, and eradicator mods

If you use mod manager, you do not need to touch any games files yourself. Just download the manager, extract it, then open the manager and add the mods you want and that's it

Correct for both. As long as the mods you use are cosmetic/sound ONLY, you'll be fine. So don't download cheats or you'll get banned by anti-cheat

Yes you can play online with cosmetic mods, only you will see/hear them though. Do NOT try using gameplay changing mods like ones that give you more ammo or run faster or something, those will get you permanently banned because they are cheats/hacks

You can still play with either friends or randoms with any of these mods installed. They will only affect how the game looks for you

​@armykiller1288 Just make sure you are installing ONLY cosmetic based mods. Otherwise, you will get banned. Arrowhead said they fully support customization mods (sounds, skins, model change, exct) another name for these are client sided mods meaning they only effect your game not anyone else's

Sorta. You have to open the mod manager and click purge to disable the mods, then launch the game. Then open the mod manager and click deploy when you want the mods

Yeah the file name issue is why the mod manager exists. It will rewrite the mod files for you. But yes, you can have multiple armour mods as long as they're for different armour and you rename the files (or use mod manager)

Those would modify program files and inset numbers, and would get you banned right quick.

Depends on the mods. I use a mod that disables the HUD when u press a button and you can't use mod manager for that. All cosmetic and sound mods should be fine but performance ones you probably won't be able to use mod manager. Also you *shouldnt* get banned but there is no guarantee since mods aren't officially supported

So, I have downloaded two ship models and launched the game with one ticked and the other not and it worked. However I don’t know how to switch between them… I’ve tried unticking and ticking the other one I want and pressing deploy again and it says it was successful but idk how to change it.

When you deploy, it inserts mods into the game. When you untick or tick mods after that, it won't do anything until you click purge to get rid of the original one, then deploy again for the new one. So basically, if you wanna switch to the other mod, untick the one you don't want to use, click purge, then tick the mods you do want, and click deploy. Then launch the game and it should work

Aye, you're correct on both of those! As long as it's cosmetic (like the ones in my videos) they're just textures/sounds replacing existing ones so you should be fine with the anti-cheat. And yes you can still play the game 100% the same like normal, with randoms online. You'll just be the only one able to see those mods

Not at all. All cosmetic and sound mods are client only, meaning only whoever has the mods downloaded will see it. If you and a friend both download the same mods then you'll both see and hear the same thing, but randoms that don't have the mods will not

Are the mods in zip folders? Make sure you do not extract the zip folders the mods are in, otherwise the mod manager cannot import them

Not exactly sure what you're asking sorry. But I have tried using vortex in the past since I use that for skyrim and every other game, but it doesn't seem to always work properly whereas the HD2 MOD MANAGER works every time for me. They might’ve fixed vortex so it works properly now but I haven't tried it in a while
