I just love modeling complex 3D objects. I recently finished a course in 3D modeling using 3DS max which took about 7 months and although I was the best student in the class and was always ahead of everyone else, I still know nothing about this never ending software. The funny thing is that the course I took was in person and not an online one, that just goes to show how crippled the education system is in Iran. Where do I begin to learn to do stuff like this?

Hello sir. Well, you can start by watching the processes in the videos we have here on the channel. We have a wide variety of models, from simple to more complex models. It's a good start for beginners. Regarding the software, it really is gigantic and you can do a lot with it, and not all functions can be learned. But, with time, you'll get a little bit of everything and you'll be able to create any model naturally. Good luck on your journey, I hope you continue watching our content. Hugs!

@@igormota3d Thanks a lot, I appreciate your response. That lifted my spirits, and I’m definitely going to continue watching your channel. I’m doing my best.😅 Just hope you won’t take this the wrong way, and I really enjoy and appreciate the time and effort you put into these videos, but they are just a bit fast-paced and time lapse like, sometimes I just have no idea what you’re doing. For example in this very video you pressed ctrl + shift + R which I just found out is a custom hotkey for the loop regularizer script, but you didn’t mention it in this video, so It took me hours to figure out what was going on cause I didn’t have that hotkey. Please consider this in future videos so that you can both gain a bigger audience and help us beginners reach a reasonable level. Thanks again that was just my two cents to try to give my view on the channel and make it better than it already is.

@@HesamVazifehdan Thanks for the suggestion. I would like to explain everything I do in every video, but that's something I can't do. The content would be too boring. I'm following a chronological order with the content. That's exactly why I made a video just explaining all my shortcuts a few months ago, to clear up any doubts from anyone who asks me what this shortcut or script is. The video is available here on the channel. In one piece of content or another I remind you what each key does. But that's part of the learning process too. I understand that it's bad for those who just stumble upon the channel, but I see that it's necessary for people to leave a comment and interact with the instructor. That's what drives us to keep creating content. It's an exchange. But I appreciate the feedback, I hope you develop your skills. Good luck and let's go!

Hi Igor! Thanks for the video! I would like to ask you something that I don't understand. At minute 16:28, how do you convert the star-shaped border into a perfect circle? I see a combination of keys, but when I press them, nothing happens.

Hey bro! Thanks for comment. In this part i use the script loop regularizer. Search in the google "download loop regularizer for 3ds max. Download it, after drag into your 3ds max scene. In Costumize tab you can add a shortcut for the command. In my case i use the Ctrl Shift R Sucess in your studies! Hug.

Hi Sr, in this part i use the Loop Regularizer, Follow the link for you to download www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/loop-regularizer Drag the script in to 3ds max. In costumize tab select hotkey editor. Find for Regularizer Edge Loop (EditPoly). Assign the Shortcut ctrl+shift+R. Done.

What happened at 11:48? That windage adjustment dial popped out of nowhere. :)

I had a problem with the screen recorder. What I did was create a circle and use the shell to give it thickness. As I had already done this part I redid it again, you can ignore what is already done and follow the new "slider" that is being created from minute 12:24
