I have too many hobbies: painting landscapes in oil, painting abstract in acrylic, composing orchestral film music, singing, photography, writing, languages, you name it. I wish I would have gone (or could go) deep into one of them, really focusing on it to get to a point where I'm good enough to teach people about it. But honestly, it's very hard for me because I really love all of them and so over time, I've developed some good skills, but there's no thing, I am EXCELLENT at. Having many hobbies is a blessing and a curse. Anyone knows what I'm talking about? :D

Totally agree with this. All through my life as a journalist, I avoided editing and left everything to my editors and sound engineers. After travelling to the UK, I dabbled in so many things and even got a corporate job that paid me £35,000. I knew I was worth more and then one day I had a hunch to learn...Power Director. So, nearly a decade avoiding video editing, then finally submitting myself to a guy that was editing my early KZbin videos. I watched him cut a video one afternoon and that was it! If I could CUT a video, then I could edit. I bought the software, locked myself in a room and after a week, learnt how to edit. That single skill has gone on to help me build a KZbin channel with over 500,000 subs and a video spokesperson business that turns over 3 times my "corporate" salary. Heed the words of Sorelle in this video and you will see the millionaire hiding in the inner resesses of your mind. Thank you Sorelle.

This was something that I needed to hear and learn, thank you! I do “over analyze” in my head and all I’m doing is planning. I cannot seem to take an action with my planning. I think I am afraid of failure in deep down and subconsciously cannot overcome that fear. Also, I don’t have 100% confident in my skill and product, although people around me feels other wise. I remember at University (I was studying history) one of the teachers has invited his fellow businessman to give a speech (he gave up hope for us to be good historians). I just subscribed to your channel about a week ago. I love listening to you. I started making money with my Hobby last year and then covid happened and I had to move out of the state. I am starting over again with the same concept except slightly modified. I had someone who is a customer where I work at my other job that is paying the bills right now call my idea a Mickey Mouse idea. I told him that I have already sold some of my product and him that successful people don't give up. They fail, revise an idea, fail again, try something new if that idea isn't working. The point is that you keep pushing and keep getting back up. I am using his negativity to push forward and realise that some people are just not going to get it. I am not going to let him make me doubt myself and my abilities. Thank you so much for your channel and helping people move forward!

Sorelle I am loving ALL of your content. Found you recently and it has been so helpful. I’m 27 (just turned on June 27) and am currently a Nanny. Got a bachelors degree in Sociology just to realize it was basically pointless because finding a job with just that degree didn’t happen. So went back to nannying because hello, I had student debt and needed to now pay rent. I am happy to say I have paid off my student debt and am now trying to find a way to make as much money as possible with as much freedom as possible. And that’s where you have been so so sooo helpful in expanding my understanding of this! So thank you! 💕✨
@boshenaw.9293 жыл бұрын
How about teaching people how to be the greatest nanny? Not only could you make some money from that but also probably get high paying clients for your own jobs...if I was in the market for a nanny and could pay handsomly, I would hire a person that had lots of info on how they would handle situations eg safety, diet, activities, discipline online, so I would be comfortable whom I am leaving my child with. Such an easy topic. The only thing is - you might not be able to use your client's children for showing your techniques in the videos, so I would offer my services for free for some people occasionally to get permission (in writing) to film their childen and use the footage in the video. I know lots of single moms who would love such help, especially if you could do it for few weeks in a raw (on your day off from your other job). That would probably give them the opportunity to go to work and not worry about their kids.

Sorelle, you are my morning coffee, my afternoon "pick me up", or kick me up! You are at one with life, jump right into life, are a living example of, "It's your life, pour your soul into it!" This is other's fascination or fear of living being drawn to the flame, the "phire" of you just living and loving your life, and selling it with every pore of your body! This is I wanna be like her! and it's a unique way of selling. People are imitating your invigorating qualities. I watch this video over and over, I speed it up a bit so I can listen to it more times! You and the camera are one. Looking back, what seemed to be fear, becomes fun, natural, elemental! You are the real deal. I too am drawn by your "phire" and so impressed. and blessed. If all I could have were this one video, at 1,000 viewings I'd still learn something from you1 Thank you, Sorelle!

@@sethkeefer3456 Yes, unfortunately. What I don't like about public schools is that there are classes of about 25 children. And then when a child isn't as fast in one topic, the teacher can't stop, because other children would have to wait. I believe in one on one teaching and children could have more potential.

Holy crap, you're lovely. This gave me a huge boost of confidence to really sit down and try to get a plan together for myself. I've always wanted to compose my own fantasy-style music someday but that world just seems so intimidating, I've never been able to quite get over my fear and get myself started. I have to remember mistakes will happen and it may not sound the best at first, and that's okay. All just a part of the process of learning and growing. So many extremely helpful tips and reminders, thank you so much!! ♥

Such good (and honest) insight, Sorelle. For all you courageous entrepreneurs out there... regardless of what you are offering - where your value satisfies another's need is where you will not have to worry about profit! Best wishes.

Another great video (as always) and we all have gifts and talents we can monetize. Many people think they have to learn new skills to be able to monetize, but we're best at what we know and do naturally. You also made an important small comment: in the beginning, you teach a LOT for free! Until people get to know you. That's what I've done until now I get sales from online courses I have. Also KZbin is very very slow, but I keep going and teaching and giving value and surely, it's growing and a small amount of $ is increasing. If you're watching this and hesitating, I would say START DOING SOMETHING, TEST IT OUT If you do nothing, nothing will happen. I've done several things like teaching and tutoring that I'm not doing anymore, but while trying and testing, I found other areas. Start trying things out NOW! Freedom is there for you too!

Thanks so much for sharing your vast knowledge on finances! I grew up through books as a kid and teenager, but the one book I still have not yet read (it doesn't exist) is called "Radical and Liberating Entrepreneurship for Uncompromising Young People". I have long had difficulty accepting my desires to shamelessly want, have, and charge $$$. Your content feels like the closest thing so far to the vibe of that imaginary book. Grateful for your work❤️

I just think you are such a great inspiration. Such a lovely person. For me it's ceramics, art and food BUT 64 years old, my "freelance" full day job of 9 yrs terminated in April 2020. Trying to focus and get my A into G - but struggling. Complicated BUT may be just been too slack!. My way, energy and courage a bit.

G'day Sorelle and Leon, from a fellow Aussie. Just purchased the pre-order deal of The Codex & The Order. Very excited to learn something I know nothing about. I've already learnt a lot from these videos and this course will open my eyes. Here's to live long learning and freedom. I hope to meet you both in person one day! You guys rock!

Not only do you provide value, you inspired me so much. Your algorithm is on point and your personality shines through. First time seeing your channel and I’m here to stay. I like your teaching style and the way you sell your expertise. I can’t wait to continue learning from you! I’m currently going to do a quick outline of the hobby I’ll be monetizing and will be back in a few months to share my progress. 🤞🏽🥰

I know this is a little off topic, but your dress is fabulous. I'd like that dress. Maybe you can tell us more about your always cool wardrobe. As for hobbies, I am a cartomancist. I love to study tarot cards. It is not about supersticious nonsense. If it were, this art would have died long ago. But yet, it is an art that has lasted literally thousands of years. It does add value. It offers insights and guidance which you would not have access to in other ways. It might reveal a valuable hint which can transform a life situation. The tarot is a key to knowledge. Celebrities and world leaders secretly (or not so secretly) hire cartomancists. You never know what you might discover when you have a personal in depth reading. I know I am making this sound weird, but you said you asked what skill or hobby we would monetize "no matter how weird". I am just sharing, and if you or anyone else is interested in knowing more, hit me up.

I still have this constant feeling that there is nothing I can offer of interest to anybody cause who am I to teach or show anything to anybody? Plus, I think someone else is always better than me on any given hobby or skill, so why should I teach anything yet again if I can't master it? With that in mind, there is no way to move on, and I can't seem to get rid of that feeling.

I just visited your channel and your voice is mesmerising. Your singing face is even more mesmerising, so much beautiful authentic feeling. I def couldn't do that. Each of us offers a different vibration, set of experiences and a preferred aesthetic and analogically, there is an audience with personalised taste who appreciates that. Sorelle is the biggest advocate of individualism and wow, do you have a lot of that in stock... x ;)

I get it. Really. It is a part of my negative belief system too. I'm always working at finding ways to combat those ideas or thoughts because they ARE NOT TRUE. Everyone has something to offer. Your perspective is unique and people identify with the journey, the hard spots. Try to find ways to hush the feeling. You got this.

You know what? Every single creative person on the planet has this feeling. Heck, every human has this feeling in some degrees, especially creative people like us! Now... this is *not* to put you down or dismiss your emotions. Not at all. But you have to keep in mind that the difference between you and most people and the 2% of successful ones among us, is that they shake up that feeling every morning and get to work! Everyone is human. Everyone doubt. Anyone is better than you at anything, no matter what, and the better ones are just as insecure as you are! The world is full, full, full of talented people better than anything you've ever imagined who aren't even confident enough to showcase themselves. After 15 years in the music industry, I should know. People don't care that there are "better ones" out there. They care about *you* and what *you* have to offer. Don't be the best, be the most relatable in your field. Don't be mainstream : be *universal*. Understand this, apply this, and you've unlocked the door to success.

Its called ' imposter syndrome ' The idea that we are not quite 'good ' enough , or that , whatever we are doing , someone will will ' find out ' that we should not be in that position . Someone , or possibly society , has put that idea into your mind and a good councilor or , as a practitioner , a good clinical hypnotherapist will be able to help you overcome these self sabotaging beliefs .

Okay so the first time I watched this video I was like "interesting, yes, and I have a couple hobbies that I *could* probably monetize in theory... but I'm not super interested in pursuing any of that/don't think I could put a unique enough spin on it". Now, 6 months later, I rewatched this by chance at a point where I'm getting prepared to start a business drawing fantasy maps on commission and selling prints - one of those hobbies that I thought I definitely wasn't good/unique enough at. Things do take unexpected turns. Let's see where I'm at in another 6 months ☺

Love this, thankyou Sorelle! I've watched Sorelle Amore for years, but I'm new to Sorelle Amore Finance and this content is just what I need. I am a writer and artist, and I think I want to start sharing my creative journey on KZbin in a way that will encourage and uplift other creatives ... but not as AuthorTube or Art lessons. One niche idea I have is to share how I use all kinds of journalling to improve my mental health, live in alignment and nurture my creativity. I'm not a big 'on camera' person but I could mostly have the camera on my page and process, adding on screen text and voice overs. My plan has been gradually coming together for about a year, and includes a combination of KZbin and ebooks. I'd love to create a membership community too, but am not sure I have the energy to sustain it all, as I still want to have a lot of time to write and paint.
