The beautiful thing about today's sit on top fishing kayaks. They've become a one man boat. And everyone is going motorized. I love the Hoodoo because, all they give you. I have my 2022 Hoodoo impulse 120, and I run a Newport vessel nk-180s, mounted to my stern, with it being motor ready. My 1st kayak was the 2021 Tempest 120p, and I mounted my J2 BIXPY to the Vibe Gravity rudder, and purchased the trolling motor Hoodoo makes, right where your pedals go. It's a factory 46lb thrust motor. And it's the same price as the old drive. The tempest with any motor really moves in open water. I loved the Tempest, but i wanted my fin drive, and motor, so I can cover water, and then use the fins around my spots. Plus have an open deck, with the fins out. But you'll love that setup, especially with that motor. But I would research trimming your shaft to 24 inches. Many bow mount trolling motors i've seen, you can have it done, by a professional, or do it yourself. Plenty of you tube vids on that. So it'll fit perfectly on your bow, and drop in the water, and not sit so deep. It'll probably be faster sitting higher, to the water surface. Good luck with the build bro. 😎 🎣

Thank You for the input. I’ve already watched some videos on shortening the shaft and it’s definitely on my to do list. I just got a laptop and am trying to figure out how to load and edit video. I’m great with mechanical stuff not so great with technology lol
