I have a VERY heavy stacked washer and dryer that wouldn't budge even a millimetre in a very tight closet space. I rented an air sled from local tool rental; got them out in perhaps 30 seconds, did the work I needed to behind the set, and back in, set in exactly the right spot within another 30 seconds. Brilliant tool.

I use mine all the time with stackable washer dryers and moving refrigerators full of food. The last refrigerator had to come out of the kitchen tile floor over the threshold and onto the carpet so I could get enough room to pull the oven out into the kitchen. Yes, small apartment layout. It is so worth the cost when you're a one man show.
