Does the capital gains concern also apply savings in stocks and shares? As in if I were to withdraw from my UK stocks and shares ISA after moving to Sweden would I be liable to pay capitol gains on the profits?

Hey Ash, let's say I accrued Capital gains on selling equity mutual funds back in my home country in March of this year and then moved to Sweden and got registered as a tax payer in say May this year, then should this capital gain be declared in my tax return next year when I file them for this year? And will I be liable to pay capital gains tax on these gains? Just for info capital gains on equity mutual funds upto INR 100000.00 are tax free in a financial year in my home country India. Thanks for your time. Regards Prakash

Thanks for this video! What if we were going to sell a property abroad but kept the money abroad and never transferred it to Sweden? Or transferred only some at a time? Could this help avoid capital gains tax here in Sweden?

Thanks for tie comment, glad it was useful! Unfortunately the sale would be classed as "income" and therefore you really ahpuod declare it, otherwise when you do eventually move it to Sweden, questions mat be asked about why you didn't declare at the time. It would be best to anonymously call Skatteverket and enquire.

@@BeingSwenglish Thanks for your reply! That makes sense. How would you recommend transferring large amounts such as for a down payment? I am seeing that Wise would charge us close to $400 or more depending on the amount.

Hey Ash, do you know what kind of amount wouldn't trigger the fraud check system? Maybe £10000 or less? Joe

I had believed that it was 10,000 Euros per year, but I'm not entirely sure anymore.
