Been watching you for so long now and I feel like your friend somehow as we are about the same age and Filipinas. Just broke up w/ my boyfriend of 5 years and moved to a new country. It's so hard. We can plan and hustle all we want but life has its own plans for us. Take it one day at a time and be kind to yourself. I'm not apologetic for cutting out toxic people anymore. At the end of the day, some people spit on you when you're already down. We must have our own backs.

I broke up with my bf back in May 2020. I didn't feel anything for him anymore, so I dumped him, but I did feel a little guilt and remorse after dumping him. My secret to being able to move on after the breakup is staying away from and avoiding him. It's not that I don't want to see him ever again. It's just what's best. Not just for me, but for him as well. I'm also staying away from him because when I dumped him, he refused to let me go and accept the breakup. But a few months later, on mid September 2020, he commented on one of my KZbin videos, "miss you". That made me so pissed that I replied to him, "leave me alone or else I'll call the police!". I was mad about that for almost a month because when I dumped him, I told him that I don't want anything with him anymore, and it looked like apparently he didn't understand the message, and I haven't seen him or heard from him since then, and I want to keep it that way.

I'm doing amazing I feel like it has almost been 3-4 years life has changed drastically and I'm happier now. And because I'm happy, I do feel that a weight has lifted off my chest. Be strong, Its hard I though I wont make it. But I did and you can too! Be safe

@@oohkana425 still a lot of ups and downs. It's been a reflective time. Every month or it seems every week, I discover another perspective on things past in the relationship. I'm becoming more aware of how unbalanced the relationship was from the start and how it wasn't going to change. Other times, I feel so grateful to be out of the situation entirely. I was losing my sense of self and living with such resentment and anger and sadness every day was draining me mentally, emotionally and spiritually. It's a relief to be able to do what I want, when I want, and not have someone else define me only by mistakes or shortcomings. I'm having more fun than I have had in years but it constantly gets tempered by feelings of loss and sadness, especially when I see my ex so quickly moving on. ( He's already on his second girlfriend since our break up😂) But it's not a competition and I'm more concerned with getting back to knowing myself as a whole person instead of trying to attach myself to another relationship just for comfort. Hang in there. It does get better, as overwhelming as it can be alot of the time. I work an extra job when I have to, and I have an apartment, finally have a roommate so fingers crossed I will be able to cut back at work and get some more personal time. It's a wild ride, hang on!
