Dealing with the hurtful truths of the past can be very taxing. It is like being stuck in an infinite loop with the same lines playing through your mind again and again. One cannot change the past but one can change the impact created to life by the past by working in the present towards a brighter future. Past is important BUT only from a retrospective perspective. Past gives clarity on the lessons learnt. It shows us our strengths and improvement areas BUT unfortunately past cannot be changed. Hence too much significance to what already happened is a waste of time and energy.
