Don't round until the very end answer. Just keep track of significant figures. If you notice that I underlined the 3. If the problem was only adding, it would be 11.4. However, the next step involves multiplying. So, you don't round until after you finish multiplying.

Ur ans is the first three digits

It will be 42400 Write the first required digits starting from the left ( in this case the first 3 digits which are 424 ) Then look at the digit that is after the last required digit , if it’s from 0 to 4 then that final required digit will stay as it is And if it was from 5 to 9 , you will add one to that final required digit and finally change the remain digits that are after the required digits to zeros

Sir there is ambiguity 11.35 has 4 significant figures because all non zero digits Ara all significant

At 8:11? The product SHOULD have 3 significant figures. HOWEVER, You don't round until the very end, and therefore you have to keep all digits in 11.35, which has 4 significant figures. Keep track of the significant figures as you go (purpose of the underline) but round at the very end. Hope that answers your question.
