How about discussing the jam space/studio space and how the organization, setup, lighting, acoustics and such effect overall mood, productivity and vibe? Aside from acquiring gear and learning to use it this has been a major area for me to get right. Whether you're getting paid sessions or just playing with multiple people, having a good sense of how the environment effects the function of the musicians is key 🔑

Hi Cory ! How about an episode on INTERVIEWS ? What is a "good interview" and what is a "bad interview," and how has the art of being interviewed (and of interviewing) change over the last years--and this year in general ? I'm especially curious because I find that some interviews (be they filmed or written) often change the way I think and appreciate given bands, etc., so I'd love to know what goes on in your mind-from the musician's end.

Hey Cory! I would love to see a video on touring. I know that's not the very first thing every musician gets to do, but I know it's something a lot of musicians aspire to. 2020 has definitely complicated for touring and live music work, but just knowing about how you've gotten touring gigs or organized your own tours, what sort of things to keep in mind for gear, maintaining physical/social/emotional/mental health on tour, etc. I think that would be rad, for sure.

I teach a studio performance module at a university in England. As always with these things, 90% of what was said here is stuff we already tell the the students, but there are always a few new nuggets of invaluable information. It also seems that students need to here the same point being made by me, a colleague, a guest speaker and then someone like Cory in a video, before it actually sinks in! Will be sharing with my students now, hoping they take on the excellent advice.

As a music student I wish there was an industry module that was taught like this. While the lecturers have their musicianship,instrumental and engineering modules down it never seems to glue together unless you do it yourself. Maybe this is by choice in order to weed out those who don’t have what it takes but I love the upfront and honest way you talk about things? it depends on if it's an integral part of the SOUND. i normally play pretty dry so i leave it that way. unless the verb is one of the main things that makes the guitar part work...it it works the same way without the verb or delay, i leave it out

I mean the accountants, the lawyers, the friends, the family...as you start out and even more so, as you build success it's so important to know who you need to help you protect yourself, build a foundation to thrive, etc.
