Thanks Antonio. I have been watching your videos on and off for a few years. And there is probably no one out there who approaches men's clothing and style the way you do. Very systematic breakdown of every situation and problem and a practical solution for it. I stay in Mumbai and the weather here (mostly warm and humid) demands that we dress accordingly. But your rules and tips are probably as applicable and practical here as they would be in Scandinavia. Thanks a ton for the guidance and very much appreciate your efforts. ❤👍🏼🙏🏼😊

I need to reset my baseline, to start implementing these principles. The hardest part is getting away from t-shirts; they have been such a staple for me!

Like your videos, I didn't have much growing up and I still gravitate to wearing off-the-rack clothes and now buy most of my clothes online. I'm 58 and just started to improve my look because of your videos. Keep up the good work making men's videos. Cause I'm hooked.

Get your shirts custom made. Barring that buy decent quality shirts and then get them tailored to fit. When I was in the army the quartermaster's tailor shop did that for uniforms, it's not expensive to have your civvy shirts tailored the same way. Of course 30 years of easy living later I don't need to have my shirts taken in around the waist anymore.
@wileyallen154511 ай бұрын
Agreed! My uniform jackets were tailored so tight I couldn't fit my hand into the interior pockets. Semi custom seems to be more the norm now and still be affordable. I have great off the rack shirts that only needed a dart to look fantastic. Good comment!

All my clothes with the exception of underwear, t shirts and socks go to the tailor. Even jeans. I also use shirt garters for my dress shirts.

@wileyallen154511 ай бұрын
Great info Antonio. Sizes not only change between brands but sometimes also within brands. One size on a rack of the same brand may vary with another of the same brand but different style. With a lot of mass overseas manufacturing sizes can vary a bit. The only way to get it right the first time is custom which runs money. Sometimes you get lucky and are blessed with a perfect leg length or chest size. I got lucky with a perfect 38 waist and a perfect 30 inch leg, most men don't have that luck. Agree that a good tailor is worth the money and always tip them well! Always dress up for the visit to the tailor. There are a few people you should always dress up for and have your best fitting and pricier clothing on when you see them. Your tailor, barber, lawyer, the judge, dry cleaner, your boss, religious official and your main squeeze. I also dress up when out shopping for new clothing or out for dinner or a show. Really anywhere you are seeking a favour or service you should probably put your best foot forward.

1930's Style Drape Cut is the best.
@MomoMKDAO11 ай бұрын
You can be intentionally more expressive with looser fitted clothes, which can work in creating a more interesting and less sterile silhouette. It doesn't mean the clothes doesn't fit, you just need to be more deliberate about it. For most of the 20th century, men's suits are more drapey and roomy but still look good thanks to small details such as a taller waist. A more fitted silhouette is a great place to start if you're starting out. But if you are experienced, differing fits can prevent you from being stuck in a box when it comes to style

try to buy shirt , yee is in box can see only the cuff and collar with only a number or letter , go buy a jacket ,, the one that will be ok in shoulder and chess will have short sleeve ,, or the one that will be ok in sleeve will have shoulders to big , go buy shoes ,, i have shoes that fit me and are from 43-46 dipend on the company ,,

Is there a video on finding a good tailor? The one I went to just put pins on my clothing on where he will tailor. Didn't measure or ask anything. Doesn't seem right.
@bosniakedisniksic11 ай бұрын
Measuring is necessary for the original sizing. Once you already have the suite, measuring isnt needed. You're already working with what you got so every tailor I had wouls go by eye. But what is weird is the not saying anything. They should be asking for your input on how much break you want, how much cuff you want showing, if you want the calves to be slimed down, etc. Communication is important in everything. In and out of the bedroom and the fitting room 😂

@@TxmmyBeatsFor clothes with internal structure like suit jackets, overcoats, etc., shoulders are extremely problematic to tailor. When it's just a shirt, visit a tailor and see what they say because that's not terribly complicated.

Great now just how do I find a tailor that doesn’t b**** when I ask them to tailor things to fit? Really though, going to the tailor gives me more anxiety than getting blood drawn. Most tailors just don’t seem to understand what you do. They often try telling me how I want my clothes to fit. Ha. Thanks for another good video.
