How to Needle Tat - Closing a Ring / Needle Tatting Tutorial Part 2

I use a shuttle and I’m very new, been doing it for a few days now. The only issue I have is closing the ring, as all my stitches slide across fine but I have to pull rly hard to close it and sometimes even that isn’t enough. All of my stitches are flipped like they are suppose to be. Any way I can solve this? Am I casting stitches to tight? Is it the thread I’m using?
