Good information CAP'N Panfish I could have used those netting instructions earlier this week. I finally got into some bigger fish for a change. The 50lbs flathead I caught was not much of an issue to land I brought to shore waded out to the top of my gum boots grabbed the lower jaw took my measurements some REALLY crappy pictures I fish by myself SO the traditional holding your trophy 50lbs flathead pictures well are terrible. On the the 3 foot bluecat that ate my hand UP did you having gloves in my back pocket they won't protect your hand future tip for you " at no charge " even had a nice net layin there so I landed the big the same way as the flathead waded blah blah blah grabbed the lower jaw at which time it proceeded to eat my hand. Nets, gloves AND or grippers I highly recommend them because now my hand is getting infected. I got a total of 3 fish equaling close to a 100lbs. It was a GOOD night other than the hand thing. Also I think you and Mr.Melhorn should soak some Cornish hens in strawberry jello stuff em with shad or skip jack and cut bait bluegill doesn't and JUST how BIG OF a catfish CAN be caught with that bait just a suggestion. And ALWAYS remember nets NOT bare hands those angry BIG bluecat WILL make a mess of your hand. Get back to me with a full report on the Cornish hens thing. PEACE OUT CAP'N Panfish 🐟 🐝😎🎣😎🎣😎🎣😎🐝

Good video. I don't even own a net anymore but if you need one pay up for a good one. Inexpensive nets will disappoint sooner than later. I bank fish for Channels and Flatties. I just drag most Channels in with rod and reel and willing to snatch any Flattie by it's lower jaw. We don't have many Blues nearby but my experiences have proven incredible jaw power not unlike tiny little Bullheads. Pain is part of the game but fish bites can ruin an outing!
