Bonus tip: Save time by using speech to text in the google keyboard on your phone. That way the phone will do the typing for you and you can just talk away. You'll get through many more candidates. But stay on the lookout for typos and shit.

You can literally just DM someone and say "Hey, I just wanted to let you know that I dig your content." Take five minutes to look through their profile and mention something that stands out to you. Yes - it is actual WORK and EFFORT. It's about building relationships, not necessarily business. Kidness and encouragement is also value. Remember that.

Value can be added in a lot of ways. Doesnt have to be related to business. Just some very simple examples to fire up your brain... you saw the person on IG you wanna connect to play some video game you love and that person sucks at it? offer free coaching or a create a video with tips/tricks for their favorite character you know a certain city in and out with all kinds of awesome places and that IG person who you wanna ask sth is heading there? create a list/video/google doc/whatever where you lay down secret gems you know about like some bars, restaurants or hidden spots. tell that person to get back to you when they are sipping a drink at your favorite bar you see some guy naming his companies third car model 3 and you are the first to realize that this name will be confusing to some people and lead them to not buy their model... S car because they think its inferior? break down exactly why you think a naming joke might cost that guy and his company millions if you can save someone time/effort or if you can improve their business/day/the sound quality of their IG videos/their product with insightful critique....... you just added fucking value! start now!

Thanks Gary. Had some time to kill on a Greyhound from OKC to KCMO to play a show. Hashtag searched the Venue i would be playing at and starting messaging people who have been inviting them out for the night. Haha, or you can just pay someone to get you a bunch of organic views likes and followers by engaging with posts within your niche for you, while you chill on that tropical island instead of worrying about all of this. Great video, but for probably 80% of businesses at least, this isn't viable to upkeep on a daily basis by themselves.

bistreck.com/product/social-media-marketing-organic-growth-monthly-service/ - if you just want someone else to do it all for you, or there are the services like socialdrift.com/ if you want a more hands on approach where you set the tags to work with, and the users to target their followers, etc. I've used both systems and I think it's really just preference, also, the actual number of followers you gain is kind of limited with some services, so if you're a business, you might want a service with tiered options so that you can really explode your IG and get your ROI. If I wasn't trying to be better about keeping my videos focused on gaming I would make a video about this haha.
