The tips here remind me of what I've learned from linguistics. It is best to perceive dance freestyle as talking. Despite using the same word with the same grammatical structure, you're always making new sentences which have never been uttered by anyone else in this world every single day. That is the richness of rigidity in language. I am certain you can apply that to art and dancing as well. Instead of trying to go out of box all the time, you should try defining your box and create your 'language' instead😁🙏

hello I know freestyling can be challenging but what I've learned is to just have fun with the music and just let it go and you gotta practice it basicallyconsistently. There are some dayz your freestyles can be super lit and other days they be sloppy and just lame but it's okay don't give up. Oh and don't focus to much on "what move is next and is that even a good move" just go with the flow and I promise you you'll get better.

This is so great! I've been trying to hone in on my freestyling abilities for a while now, and I just found your channel about a week ago. There's something so practical and realistic about your advice- these methods can be applied to nearly any level of dancer, and I didn't realize until I tried how large each of these four categories is. I'm not saying I'm immediately ready to go on ABDC now (anyone else miss that show?), but I saw this video and heard a choir of angels. Great tips.

These are actualy really helpful! I use a technique I call : Swoop Ha Woop Ho Swoop = side Ha = up Woop = other side Ho = down I use it for any of the body parts uvu
