Here's a few things you should consider as a killer: - When you hook someone, you have to leave the game because not leaving the map will be considered camping and that's toxic. - Remember that you can only hook a survivor *ONCE*. Hooking them twice will be considered as tunneling and you good luck explaining that to court. - When all 5 gens are fixed, you must open the gate and let the survivors leave. Using NoED is taboo so see you in hell. - Entity displeased is a lie. It is actually very happy if you let them go because it shows that you are indeed a kind heart man. - In fact, you should never play as a killer in the first place! Just play survivor and you are now a pro gamer!

Ive played this for five hours, just started yesterday. I played the killer and was only able to occasionally kill ONE of the four survivors. If I did, they would get into chat and call me toxic and a camper and a tunneler. I had no idea what I was doing wrong, but man did they hate winning.

i was playing last night as the Shape, and after i killed the final survivor, i was informed he and his party were reporting me for cheating. Why? because they felt there was no way i could have known he was hanging out near the exit gate waiting for me to leave to try and get it. I never understood the vehement hate towards pallet looping some killers have. It's honestly the best way for a chase in a horror setting to be a competitive game. The problem isn't pallet looping itself, it's just that some maps/unlucky tile spawns have way too many pallets. If I'm going to lose, I'd rather get looped most of the game than spend it looking for immersed Urban evading Claudettes

@@cjcathead2468 I've played killer way more with it being sort of a hate vent for me, despite thinking surviving is more fun overall, so my view is a little slanted but survivors are the worst. Actually I'll be fair and say it's gotten a little better but there is still a lot of whining. My last stretch of playing the game months ago people were complaining after every single game practically. Chase somebody for longer than 30 seconds and they had to rage on you. Stay in the vicinity of the gates and hook after the gens are done and you're a camper. They had a complaint for everything that gave me a chance. When I first started playing survivor I couldn't believe how nice I was after seeing face camping killer after face camping killer. I was incredibly gracious despite being at a disadvantage against people with skill and people always had something to complain about if I didn't just let myself lose in a miserable defeat. I'm still a generous killer but when people get cheap with me I don't hesitate to do it back. I never complain though because despite being nice and playing along with the rules declared under the geneva convention it's still up to the devs to define the rules of the game within the way it's programmed. If we throw the rule book aside and I lose it is what it is. Taking the game hostage is the only thing I truly have a problem with and that's something the devs could sort out as well. Just highlight the player after they've stayed in the same little area long enough after gates and viola.

The problem with the loops is mainly the bad rng of the maps which can cause really op loops, and the map balance for certain killers. Some killers can't counter the loop like a huntress in a walled area and mind games are a gamble which usually doesn't play into the killer favor so its sortof reasonable for killers to get mad at certain loops cause it can just be bad rng they get a shiity one. if majority were more balance for all there will be less complaints

when it comes down to it. dbd is a video game. dont forget the most important rule in video games. there will always be a bigger fish. you will lose. there will be players that are better than you. the difference between a good player and a bad one is that a good player can look at a situation and think "what could i have done differently?" then use that information the next time that situation happens. do it enough and eventaully you'll have a pretty nice deck of cards to play with. and more importantly. just have fun. some people get mad at games. you just need to identify the part of the game you enjoy the most and focus on that. for me personally i love how tense some of games can be.

Exactly. I love this game and I'm fairly new to it. My first match was a trainwreck and I suffered some losses, but I took time to learn from others and began seeing results. The most exciting part about when a new killer is released is that there is a learning curve. Someone that is a grand master as Huntress would have to learn how Ghostface works if they tried him for the first time as an example.

As a nurse I rely _so much_ on stridor; a must for me to locate survivors with ears. However, I am not pleased with the sound delivery system; the distance thresholds for noise levels are so abrupt; one moment can hear loud panting, foot steps, or groans; next moment, _dead silence_ . There's no gradual drop-off in volume to inform where exactly they've gone.

That's mostly due to the new sound system they introduced back in 2017. At the release, sound was SO MUCH BETTER, like HOLY SHIT, you could actually hear EVERYTHING if you payed any attention. When stridor first came out... it was so damn OP, NO ONE could hide from you... now? Stridor is... sorry, but it isn't as good anymore and it also messes you up more than helps, as all it does is increase the volume, which can make injured survivor who is 8 meters away sound like he or she is 2 meters away and then once they leave the audible distance (there is a hardcoded distance at which certain sounds are no longer audible) or cross behind an object that blocks the sound (sometimes it is a smallest twig in the world), it suddenly stops, fucking you over.

I only started playing this game recently (after it was free for ps+) and mainly play huntress, and sometimes I'll injure a survivor, lose them to a juke and a crouch, stop to listen for panting...and hear nothing. :/

I don't understand how people hear any noises rather than crows, generators....and that's it. I can NEVER hear grass rustling, I can never hear grunts of pain. I have headphones on and I did not hear what he was even referring to when he said something about rustling grass. All I heard was complete, utter, peaceful silence. I apparently need new ears. Where can I get them? Also, that Hatchet sniping. I can't even hit someone right in front of me with a throwing hatchet. I stopped using Huntress because for some reason, I end up throwing WAYYYY above the survivor. I don't know how low I'm supposed to look when I'm throwing, but it's obviously extremely lower than the standard looking straight apparently. Shit launches to outer space. Unless they were wearing Doug Dimmadome's giant hat, it would not touch anything on them.

I love whispers, for the simple fact of how long you can spend thinking someone might be in an area of the map, while looking behind walls and corners; especially at the beginning. With whispers it saves soooo much damn time, you dont even have to get very close to corners of maps, it really helps you remove large chunks of the map where you know no one is without having to waste any time doing so.

+DamnNoHtml I played her earlier and it seems like either her blink bug is back or they changed her more without saying. She still gets her blink fatigue even after successfully hitting a survivor. She had this bug before and I'm praying they didn't make her even worse. The pallet stun is terrible, it completely removed the Nurse's advantage it feels like you're playing slightly better Hag.

Distortion is a really good stealth and information perk despite its limited tokens. I usually play with friends so when someone gets hooked or we get s gen and my distortion activates, I can tell them if the killer is running BBQ n Chilli or Bitter Murmur

I think the issue is that SOLO players expect the Killer to follow a fair code of ethics, but Killers are facing teams with full cheese builds, voice chat, and toxic attitudes because they’re there to farm points. This causes most killers to just say F it and ravage everyone, which the cheese teams deserve, but the solo players don’t.

I remember when I downed a Dwight a few days ago after he rescued a teammate and I decided to go after the freshly unhooked survivor. It took me only about seven seconds to down them as well and then hook them. I just walked back to him on the ground and picked him up, only to have him DC. He proceeded to message me and call me "pathetic" for "slugging" him. Which is funny because he was only downed for less than ten seconds. I guess some survivors just consume too much salt, eh?

With wraith, I like to try letting survivors on ground with deerstalker to go after another injured one which I know is closed. Or let one down, go injuring another right away, come back to the down one to hook him and track the recently injured one. It's a weird idea with a simple killer, and weird perks (deerstalker, sloppy butcher, bloodhound ...nurse's calling or strider would be great also)

Recently been playing killer, I'm relatively new to dbd and even more to killer. Admittedly keeping track of moving things on a darker screen, is pretty difficult for me. So you can already tell how bad I am. I did not expect the amount of toxic survivors, I usually down survivors at the end and proceed to carry them to the gates. And I get bombarded with flashlights, stuns and etc when I'm clearly semi friendly. Killer mains, I am so appreciative of you guys.

Whispers actually is such a underrated perk tho like i used it on pig when i first got her and 9/10's out of ten you don't actually have to go right up to a gen to know if someone is on it if they're far apart.Like most killers would have to walk right up to it but if there are no gens nearby you only have to get within 32 meters of it to know if someone is on it.

If you play killers like the cannibal, pig etc you will very fastly skip to the point where your skilllevel is capped and you just play them like every other killer so there is not really much you can make a guide on in this part

I must say, whispers on Spirit is the absolute worse because you need to be focused on hearing where your survivors are. Injuring survivors is basically whispers, and it's sooo bad when you're in a chase and have to use phasing and listen to sounds def. if you have add-ons that prevent scratch marks to be seen,

For Honor follow-up may actually be required sir Scott. It would appear that Ubi has actually fixed a decent amount of things since your last video. Supposedly the game has more average monthly players than it ever has... So something has to have happened with it. Also, I agree with most of the comments. I don't have the game, but I just enjoy your vids man. Very concise and specific (and also not in this case).

I think one aspect people overlook is their killers priorities. Ive seen people go into a game as legion and instead of trying to injure everyone, they chase one person down far too long and get in a whole thats hard to recover from. Same with Pig, they will get a hat on, then not move onto another survivor. Also, knowing how perks change priorities. If one runs knockout on Ghostface, they shouldnt be trying to hook immediately as its not the main priority.

Pallet looping and window juking was a big issue in the game as survivors were able to jump back and forth thru window with no penalty. There were tons of pallets too at first. I 'm just starting to come back to the game now as it's finally balanced enough to be enjoyable on both sides.

With the addition of the legion, discordance is a perk that can work for any killer that can help a lot.

What I learned after watching this video when I started playing the game about two years ago helped make me a much better killer instantly. Most killers don't do allot of the stuff that was said on this video and me doing that turned me into an above average killer in my first month of playing the game. Now over a year after that I'm really thankful that I saw this video because I wouldn't be getting 4ks every game in red ranks without knowing what this video taught me. Thank you.

I have had the most success with: Ruin - to slow the game a bit at the onset Bbq & chili: for tracking, especially that last hatch camping survivor Thanataphobia: to slow the injured survivors, concentrate on heal instead of gens Pop goes the weasel: 25% gen regression for late game strategy.

Actually whispers can be used feeling well. If you concentrate and listen closely to the voice of the Entity he gives postive and negative noises on whether you're going in the right direction or following the killer. It's hard to follor though... Especially if there's a dark Claudette... Even with that she's hard to find...

I'm always amazed of how strategic you can be Scott. How you analyze every situation it's just glorious, I still remember your Dark Souls II narrated thought videos and it's like this, as soon as the game starts you have a strategy... Man you are good at video games.

I wish tutorial videos like this didn't use endgame perks. If I'm watching this video then chances are I dont have Nurse's Calling, Barbecue and Chili, and Enduring all on the same killer. Not to mention I dont have DLC killers so no Cannibal perks anyway unless I get lucky in the shrine.

I play nurse on console and can 100000% agree that nurse is the most busted bullshit I've played and it's honestly too much fun. Blink sniping someone is satisfying, going through the fucking ground to hit a survivor doing a basement rescue is satisfying. Being broken is satisfying

I bought headphones for this game, since previous one were decent and only for multiplayer shooter with mic, and now I became a god in tricking people thinking they sneak past me only for me (as pig🐖) to do some surprise attack that I knew they were there. Plus with surveillance buff I been getting more games with 4 kills and rarely get into endgame (I might have to replace NOED)

I'm a rank 1 killer and my biggest problem is finding people I downed in the grass, like really. I drop a bloody Claudette in the grass and somehow instantly loose her, wtf!

When I was getting good as killer to rank one. I realized you really only need whispers for increasing your chances for a 4k. If you’re satisfied getting 3ks then whispers isn’t needed at all.

returning to this game. Pallet looping like you mentioned isint as bad as I Though it was in the past. someone does it I realize im being distracted and others are fixing gens and healing so I break from the loop and go after someone else. That 1 decision got me my first game where I managed to kill all 4 survivors xD

I find it very hard to hear survivors, especially because there is a lot of ambience sound from generators. The fire cracking is another sound that covers the survivors. But I am pretty new at the game, I hope I will get better. I am trying to main Plague and when I have vile purge the whispers makes it impossible to hear survivors around 😭😭

meh, i play huntress a lot and it doesnt really feel like she needs enduring since, as huntress, pallets are your best friend. respecting the pallet as huntress is good because her power allows her to hit the person locked in the vaulting animation.

Something good with brutal strength is with gens. If you find someone on a gen and have overcharge and brutal strength you can kick that botch and go back to chasing them.

What if when the entity pulls in one killer, it pulls in 4 new survivors. The survivors that escape progress into another match and the last survivor that lives becomes the survivor for the dlc. What if Kate had teammates that we don’t know and she happened to come out in top. What if the entity manipulates the by saying the winner goes home but in reality the losers go to hell while the winner is in purgatory😮

When playing Survivor , I have seen killers instant cripple players with one hit . Normally it takes 2 hit . It was out of 26 games in which 4 of them had a killer that one hit crippled players . Noted: this was not the cannot escape death perk for this was happening before any generators were even powered as well the killer did not have any perk cards that states instant cripple . Do killers get head shot bonus? This is a need to know for me . For that bugs the hell out of me . The killers that one shot me and the entire team were these 2 killers of 4 matches that one hit downs , not kill but downs out of 26 games played . The Pig and Legion . I just wish to know if its Perk or hack . For I would assume legion does not have a one hit cripple perk .
