City riding is the biggest test of skills every rider should develop. You have to have your head on a swivle and be ready for the next move. Lane position, knowing the lights, paying attention to side streets, loud horns, and being seen. I wish more vendors would make gear in colors than black, grey, or brown. Red, orange, hi-vis, bright blue or green, are all colors that can save your life on the streets.

I agree with just about everything you said. But high vis clothing in my experience does absolutely nothing to help with people pulling out in front of you. As a matter of fact, most of my close calls have all been wearing high vis. When I dress with normal jacket I never have a problem 😂

Preach it brother! I lost a ton of flesh from my knee cap. Lucky I still have my leg and foot after having my bike take my leg for a ride😂. If I had not been wearing boots I may have had more than just a ton of contusions. For you who don’t know: even with gear you still get F’ed up! Passenger peg,shifter, and foot peg all left their impressions and my foot twisted and overextended. So with gear there will still be significant injuries. Bruising and bleeding under the skin that creates pockets of blood and puss. I will never ride without knee protection again. It has been 2 months and I still have to drain this knee wound. So if you think it is worth the risk to ride. At least do yourself the favor of doing what you can to mitigate the risk. Motorcycle crashes are guaranteed loss of flesh. From experience becoming a person who looks like you have been reduced to the basic elements of life is not a good feeling. All of your confidence and pleasure in life can be reduced to pile of death or misery in the blink of an eye. This is coming from a guy who also had a spinal C2 fracture on both sides from a mountain biking accident. It has been 10 years since that happened and I have still not fully recovered from the lost strength in my core, back and neck muscles. I am constantly in physical therapy and looking for ways to treat chronic pain. Don’t let your comfort and laziness take everything you take for granted away from you. Take CycleCruza’s advice. When you can’t wipe your own ass, you ain’t getting no more girls coming your way. Wear high vis gear. Wear protective gear. Spend ten minutes getting dressed if that’s what it takes. Don’t do short rides to the shop down the street if you don’t feel like putting the gear on. Just do it the safe way. Or don’t do it at all. You could get away with it for years and then bam 💥

Thanks for viewing! That is true. Also, sometimes they are being chased by a predator and dart across the street. I was so closed to hitting a huge buck recently it was disturbing, it shot out of nowhere, it was at dusk. Just a half second more and my SUV would have been totaled. I'm chill on driving or riding at dusk and night, the only times I've had close calls with deer and drunk drivers.

For horns, spend the money and get one of the air horns or the Hella supertones. They are loud and are not expected to come from a motorcycle so they draw attention even from distracted drivers. If you are a night driver, extra lights are your best purchase and if you can't add lights, reflective strips. If you want to be the most safe, get a helmet stop light. They are amazing at keeping you seen. I had a driver almost hit me and he admitted the helmet light is what save me. Safety on the streets is the number 1 thing.

The thing with the airbag vest is a big part of the reason I'm riding a bike is to feel the air flowing around me. I have a perf white leather jacket for that I wear 98% of the time. I bought the Helite vest, and I have worn it a few times, but it's like wearing a deflated kiddie pool. It's heavy, it bunches up, and it kills the airflow. It just makes it a drag to ride around, and when it's warm, it's sweaty. Unfortunately there's no compromise between wearing an airbag, and ventilation. You can't have both.

A high vis vest makes you look bigger so a car driver can gauge better how fast they are closing on you. When a rider wears all black, all the car driver sees is the brake light. And the really bad news is, that your motorcycles brake light can blend into the pickup trucks brake lights you are behind. If you are not wearing a high vis vest or a light colored helmet and a light colored jacket, you will get run over. Beware loose fitting back packs too. They are all mostly black and if they drop down while you are riding, especially if your passenger is wearing a backpack, that backpack can cover over your brake light, making you a 'get run'd over' biker. I am thinking of adding an additional light to my back brake light that shines a red light directly at the riders back and helmet every time the brake is used. That way the back of the riders entire body gets lit up. whenever they hit the brake light. That should make it way easier for car drivers to slow the blank down as they close on us at a intersection. That should not be hard to do. Just get a small red light and mount it to the back light housing, pointing forwards towards the rider, and wire it to the brake light leads.

I usually wear my motorcycle jacket under another jacket during the cold. One thing about me personally is that I make my own clothes with heat pressing. I basically have an entire wardrobe of reflective clothing in the form of motorcycle jackets, pants, shirts, sweat shirts, hoodies, bomber jackets, wind breakers, vests, rain jackets, hats and gloves. I dont wear motorcycle pants although i just received some from a neighbor randomly. I now have 3 motorcycle jackets, 5 helmets and have had several pairs of gloves. One of the cool things about motorcycling is that most of gear is actually worth the price. And thats something difficult to find in other areas of life. I dont wear motorcycle boots. I have doc martens or wear nike or jordans only. Most if not all of my sneakers are factory laced. Therefore I have almost never gotten my laces stuck in the pegs or shift lever. I believe whats keep me safest on the motorcycle is the fact that i do not speed more than 20-25 over the limit. I would have to have a lot of space in front of me to do 60 on a 45 road. Im not a speed demon.. my bike is obnoxiously loud. So loud that i forget how loud it is when im not wearing headphones.

I see that you wear a black helmet recently I switched to a white helmet and I added the brake free helmet light on the back of my helmet I have gotten several comments from cage riders that pulled up to me at a stop light and said to me wow I can really see you so much better with the white helmet and the addition of the brake free light I have gotten so many comments on my brake free light give that light a try cycle cruiser that light is highly visible during the day and at night wow it's really bright e ery cage rider has commented on my brake free light how they see me so much sooner and better

Ride as if you are invisible. Cuz you are. Always use the front brake, I have stopped many times, just in time, when cars turn left in front of me. FRONT BRAKE. Harley riders always claim, "they laid her down". Meaning they used the rear brake only, and the bike flopped on it's side and slide into the object they were trying to avoid.

Hey, I would like to know your opinion on Michelin Road 5s on mt07 from factory.... My expirience isnt that great... I got new 2022 mt07 and ofcourse new tires but I found them not grip enough in cold or wet. Maybe bcs they're made to last?

I have the same bike and tires. If they aren’t good enough for you in those conditions I honestly don’t know what tire will possibly have more grip in wet or cold. They are honestly the best all around tires I’ve ever rode on. Sure I’ve had road racing slicks but they sucked except in clean and dry conditions.

They are great tires to me, I noted that the first time I rode my MT-07. I don't ride much in rain but they were fine to me. My favorite tires are Pirelli Angel GT tires.

I pretty much ride defensively and am definitely not a speed rider, which makes zero since to me. What are you proving riding 100mph down a road? Is it really worth taking a chance? No. With this I am annoyed that the airvest is so expensive. I have been told isn't your life worth it and I say back if life was worth it than why is it so expensive, would've it be in a price range where it is afforable to save lives, make it make since. Is the concern really about saving lives or making money? Go figure. Saving life equipment in my eyes are no different than pharmaceutical, and you know what we think about them. Anyway I have everything and do everything but the vest because I can't afford it and my insurance company won't help me, go figire that to. Discount on cage airbags but none to airvest, sucks.

Although the price for an airbag vest is pricey it pales in comparison to what medical expenses are should you crash without airbag gear. You can't put a price on your safety and well being. If more riders bought airbag vests and more companies start making them(competition) the costs would come down. Right now very few companies make airbag gear and there are a still a ton of riders that don't wear airbag gear. I don't ride without my airbag vest. Stay safe!

A 700cc motorsickle is slow? It can do 130mph is slow? You lost your mind if you believe that. It's fast enough to get killed on. Cycle you need to downgrade to a Grom or a 50cc bike that's max speed is 60mph than if you want slow.

No where did he say that a 700cc bike is slow or that 130 mph is slow. He has stated countless times that he uses the MT07 for its low end torque and zippiness around town.
