God has uniquely designed your child! In this two day Focus on the Family broadcast, Jim Daly and John Fuller are joined by South African mom Hettie Brittz, author of Growing Kids with Character. You can find her at our store: bit.ly/2wkENa3
She shares on the four main personality types of children and how parents can better nurture, communicate, and discipline them. Palm trees are jovial individuals with a love for people. Rose bushes are fast and determined leaders. Boxwoods are quality controller perfectionists. And Pine trees are peaceful and calm. Hettie shares on what to do when you child is a hybrid of the types, when your personality clashes with your child, and how to help shape and grow the spiritual character of your child.

Here I was watching to learn to help my kiddo in recognizing what his character is, and while I did, it also helped me see who I am, and while I don't like labels, the pine tree definitely resonated with me. I thank God for your show every time I watch an episode, learning so much, and so needed, thank you!!

I wonder if one can shift from one to another. I think that I shufted from a boxwood to a rosebush. I was such a box, but i believe that information, experiences, and outside events caused me to become more of a rosebush...its tough not to stick people

So now I am older. And find that people don't understand me. O my word. That is a tuff one. My late husband understood me but people make my world not easy.
