Dear Steven, please only use the original oil supplied by BERNINA! It is a high-quality resin-free and acid-free oil with the right consistency. If you finish the oil that came with your sewing machine, buy a new one from your BERNINA dealer.

Thank you, I can't seem to get the dealer near me to respond, maybe because of the virus, can you tell me is it 100% synthetic or mineral? Is the an alternative since Bernina won't respond something I can get online? Thank you

@@stevarino1675 Hi Stephen, sorry, you really have to stick to the original oil and shouldn't try to buy an alternative online. If the dealer next to you is closed because of the virus please try www.bernina.com/dealersearch to find another dealer. You will surely find a dealer that will be happy to help you and send you the oil required.

Is there a specific oil for the 780 and 700 series machines? If so, how is it identified?

Hi Laura, thanks for asking. Please only use the original BERNINA oil which came with your machine. It is a high-quality resin- and acid-free oil with the right consistency. If the oil you received with your sewing machine is empty, buy new oil from your BERNINA dealer. Please do not try to use a different machine oil. Your machine will thank you for it.

Hi Sharyn, thanks for asking. We recommend that you repeat this procedure after every 6-8 hours of sewing. A drop of oil every time is enough. This will make sure your machine stays happy and in perfect sewing condition.
