When you are fighting close duels you dont need to throw the axe full distance. You can throw it a lot closer and pick it up way faster

So, against teemo could you get away with going heavier AD version of Olaf or would it not make sense to lack health?

Depends on the game i guess, i would go the usual build tho. It scales pretty well and it's really easy to kill teemo after 6 even without heavy AD, unless he has phase rush it's a really olaf sided matchup. This build does enough damage anyways, you're looking at pretty much 300 AD without ult after you finish sterak's. As olaf having sustain is a lot more important than high damage too
