I'm relatively new to gaming on computers and have only recently begun upgrading said computer. The first step was to brave the process of switching out ram sticks. Went from 4 gbs of ram to 32. Very simple, but I was afraid of ruining my computer for some reason. Now, the upgrades I want require more power, so I wanted to make sure the power supply could handle it. This video helped me figure it out, and I appreciate it. Keep up the great work

I have a b350m bazooka in mine and I had to upgrade the bios to accept the ryzen 7 3700x but it does work. I also have g-skill ram up to 32 GB running at 3200 MHz. The CPU is overclocked game boost to 4.2 gigahertz. I bought my computer about two years ago so it doesn't have the two fans in the front so I need to figure out some more air cooling. I'm also looking to upgrade my graphics card because the four gigabyte card just doesn't do well in certain games

@accessrandom
@accessrandom 4 жыл бұрын
When you undo the thumbscrews, they should dangle from the panel (they don't come all the way out). If they're undone, there should be a slight bend on the sheet metal that forms a handle, where I pull on it at the 6:38 mark. You might have to pull fairly hard - just be careful...

Hey anyone who got this PC it’s a thousand percent worth it, however this case design is slightly bad for heat, so adding those fans, as mentioned by the video narrator, will fix the issue and keep it cooler than its suggested temp at idle speeds!

Hi! First of all great video it's very helpful thank you! I have a question. I bought my Cyberpower PC a few years back at Bestbuy and it came with a Ryzen 5 2600 and an RX 580 4gb. I did however upgrade that 4 gb version to an 8 gb version but I notice when using MSI Afterburner my temps run a little to high for my liking. The case only came with two fans pre-installed one in the front (bottom) and one in the back. They are both the same kind of Apevia fans as in this video. I also recently applied new thermal paste to the cpu and temps went down just a little. I believe I need more fans for better air flow but I have no idea which fans are compatible with this case. How many fans can the power supply support? Should I just install a better cpu cooler and some additional fans to help reach lower temperatures or upgrade my psu or other components as well? Thank you :)

I am not really a techy person but i bought this pc. I want to add a hard drive. Can you help me locate where to plug it. like all the plug where it needs to be plug in? thank you
@accessrandom
@accessrandom 4 жыл бұрын
Sure - when you install your hard drive, whether it's on the side (as I show at the 7:16 mark) or the front (at the 7:45 mark), you'll need two cables for that one drive: the SATA power cable and the SATA data cable. The SATA power cable is included in the bundle of cables that I show at 6:48. The SATA data cable is not included in the computer so you'll need to obtain one. With the computer turned off, you'll want to plug the SATA data and power cables to the back of the hard drive. The other end of the SATA data cable will plug into one of the four ports at the 5:29 mark.

Hi. I'm kinda new to upgrading. I've been working mainly on my laptop but just decided I wanted a PC for more powerful projects and to start learning animation. Would it be easier to buy a power PC and upgrade it, or attempt to create a PC from scratch?
@accessrandom
@accessrandom 3 жыл бұрын
The advantage of building your own system is that you know exactly which quality components you are getting since you choose what goes inside your PC. Sometimes, pre-built machines have limited upgradeability. However, this particular model has all standard parts so it's very simple to upgrade if you need to. The only question is the CPU at the moment - I'm not sure if it will go beyond 2nd generation Ryzens, though I suspect it can.

The wifi chip is on the motherboard which is an ASRock B540M, but I believe it is an OEM board. After doing some research on google, it looks like you could replace the wifi/antennae with another type-e card (but I haven't tried this personally so no guarantees) - or you could add a PCI-e Wifi card.

I personally plan to keep it and upgrade some components one-by-one as needed, starting with the power supply and then the video card when/if I decide to get HL Alyx.

If you'd like to add RAM to the existing memory, I would recommend you match the same brand/model that you currently have, which (in my case) is the ADATA AX4U300038G16-BWZ. If that's not possible, try to match the same specs (DDR4-3000 1.35V CL16-20-20). You may want to double-check your brand/model since CyberPowerPC could substitute something else. In terms of the SSD, any 2.5" SSD will work (there is only one M.2 slot so you won't be able to add any more in that form factor). You'll need four screws/screwdriver to hold the SSD in its tray, and a SATA data cable to connect it to one of the SATA ports shown at the 5:31 mark.

Make sure to protect yourself from static discharge (for example an ESD strap), then remove all the components attached to the motherboard, like graphics card, cables from power supply, any SATA cables from hard drives, case fan power). So far I've had only one report of a successful upgrade (in the description), but any M.2 SSD (sized 2280) should work. Let me know and I can add it to the list...

If you have the same model as I have, you'll want to grab the opening at the bottom of the front face and pull out and up (the motion itself is shown at the 7:36 mark).

No, the case does not really have space for one as there aren't any 5.25" bays.

Can I swap a Ryzen 3 to a ryzen 7 I have a cyber power pc that’s a ryzen 3
@accessrandom
@accessrandom 4 жыл бұрын
You shouldn't have a problem going from Ryzen 3 to 7 within the same series (for example, the 2000 series, or 2nd generation). It's only when you go from the 2000 to 3000 series, for example, where you may need to update your BIOS.

So say I get a ryzen 7 2700x would I be able to just swap it out without changing anything with the mother board ?
@accessrandom
@accessrandom 4 жыл бұрын
@@DavidRaah The only problem is that HP's specifications website doesn't list the 2700X as a CPU as a possible upgrade. The highest they list is the 2700.

Do you know if this model already has the specs to play warzone? Im really new to pcs, bought this one recently, and I am struggling to stop it from crashing
@accessrandom
@accessrandom 4 жыл бұрын
I haven't played COD Warzone so I'll need to let others chime in. It looks like they have a set of "recommended" and then a "recommended additional" and "competitive" requirements on their website. At the very least, you'll probably want to upgrade your memory to 16 GB.

You should have no problems upgrading to the GTX 1660Ti. Power consumption of that card is actually lower than the RX 580.

Which game(s) have you downloaded? 512 GB for the SSD is fairly sizable, so you shouldn't run out of space with only two games.

access random I downloaded Fortnite and I tried download modern warfare
@accessrandom
@accessrandom 4 жыл бұрын
@@gleesyy Fortnite requires less than 20 GB but Modern Warfare takes much more: around 175 GB, I would check Settings -> Apps to see if there have been any other large programs installed on your computer. Also check file explorer and see how much free space you have on the C: drive (I assume you are installing on C:).

@accessrandom

There's a small opening at the bottom front where you'll need to pull forward and up, as seen at the 7:39 mark. You'll feel some resistance from the friction, but there's no screws or fasteners so it should come off.

Oh, they must have given you one stick of 16 GB. On the bright side, you can upgrade your memory be adding another 16 GB module (preferably with the same brand/model that you already have), and you'll still have two slots left over.

@@accessrandom the gave me one stick of 8gb actually. the model i bought was only 8gb. i would have expected to find two 4gb modules though, since you get better performance in pairs, apparently.

There will be a small plastic clip that holds it in place, located on the motherboard on the PCIe slot. You'll need pull on that lever to free the graphics card. It's hard to describe so you may want to look up some KZbin videos on it.
