@@provisorio75 El metal liquido tiene movimiento siempre, no se seca como la pasta terminca, ademas es conductora de electricidad y si un poco cae sobre la tarjeta madre sin que te des cuenta puede freir la laptop, hay que tener mucho cuidado al momento de darle mantenimiento a estas laptops.

Fun fact: I just upgraded the RAM and added one more SSD. I got the 16gb RAM version with the 4080 in it. The memory pre-installed was one stick of 16gb instead of 2x8. Also the website of the seller stated there was only one SSD slot but there were two like this video. Bought it in Western Europe.

@casavies there are some videos out there but honestlly I got this laptop 3 months ago on a sale and added more ram. Just unscrewed bottom off and the ram and ssd has like a material cover over them they just pop out very easy

Do you need to add heatsink to the secondary m.2 ssd if you install one? Also should you remove the black band or put on the ssd after installing? I am planning to install SAMSUNG 980 PRO SSD 1TB PCIe NVMe Gen 4 to the secondary slot. Thanks.

There is no need to remove the battery. Upgraded it without removing it and survived it.

I contacted Asus support recently for the same question. Unfortunately this will void the warranty. Unless you go with them, as they can made all the process without risk to your warranty (this service will have a cost) If any of you made the same as me (bought it from Amazon US and delivered to Mexico) Asus US told me that I have 1 year international warranty. This statement was denied by Asus Mexico, as only US and Canada are considered in this warranty type.

​@@moisestello3645justo ahora estoy viendo si me la cambiaban en pcel pero me dijeron que ya habia pasado 1 semana que la compre, de hecho pasaron 3, y me dijeron que no me podían devolver el dinero tampoco y que repararla tardaba 30 días o más, la mia tiene unas lineas muy tenues cuando la imsgen se mueve de lado a lado o cuando miras de lado a lado en juegos, no pasa lo mismo con movimientos verticales.

Depends where you live. If you’re in the US, it is completely illegal for them to void your warranty for upgrading your own device. I don’t know how it works in other countries but if you are in the United States, it absolutely does *not* void your warranty.

bro is it necessary but whether to disconnect the battery on my Asus rog strix g16 the wire that needs to be disconnected is under the cooler I'm afraid to break it. I just want to know if there are risks without disconnecting the battery

this is late but i switched out the ram in mine without disconnecting the battery and it worked just fine. you just have to plug your laptop back in before you try and turn it back on… scared myself the first time when it wouldn’t turn back on. save yourself the anxiety!

It's fine when there is liquid metal involve the cpu and gpu will have a surrounding silicon casing to stop the leak.

İ got the 614ji with 4070 and i7. Im pretty happy but asking myself "why didnt i picked i9 with qhd 240hz screen" and never got the answer. Its really a good machine. My friend got hp victus, other has dell gaming with similar hardware but i step better i7's. They happy with their laptops also but always jealous about my cooling and materail quality. Just i wish i picked 4060 with qhd and i9.

@@aytacbayram210 Hey man nothing wrong with that, I just bought a G16 Strix with the regular 165hz FHD panel, and i have the i9 + 4070 combo which btw is a beast, just need to upgrade the nvme and ram and good to go, but your specs are plenty fine, an i7 is more than youll ever need tbh

@@youngheart777 i think because of segmentation. Company who provide a wide range of products needs to be segmented into different category. They said it only maxed out 32gb because of they have strix scar lineup. My friend has 2tb ssd installed when asus said only 1tb and it run just fine
