My main focus, as sub, has ALWAYS been control, but kats in bgs dont seem to appreciate. I don't know if you would see this comment 6 years later but I don't understand 1 thing in this video- How is it that every time you use Rupture/Eviscerate on the target you immediately gain 1 combo point? I'm on a private server playing MOP and never get that extra combo point from using Evis/Rupture ...

I've been playing Mage and Priest for the past 7 years, I leveled up a Hunter to start playing with non-mana classes, but that still had some ranged aspect to it, and now I've finally begun to level my Rogue. From this video, I've managed to pick up everything, except for one thing, how the hell do you get Slice and Dice running with no points? xD Do you use Premeditation? Really cool, video, another sub! Sativ how is your action bar changing between 3 different ones? it seems it is change between In combat out of stealth/ in stealth/ in shadow dance for example at about 2 min into this video so one bar that starts with gouge, another with sprint, another with garrote as of patch 5.4.8 I only have two action bars one for stealth (including shadow dance) and another for out of stealth. Moving actions off of my bar in shadow dance also removes abilities from my regular stealth action bar.

Im currently lvl 71. I was doing dangerous damage when I cheap shot, hemo(from the glyph), Backstab, Kidney shot(by the time Cheap shot is faded and also the subfutagehbleh fades also), backstab, backstab, eviscerate. 75℅ it kills them or dangerously low.

I love your guide, but said to hell with muscle memory and built your openers into macros. So, I spam 1 button for the rotation twice then hit my shadow dance burst macro (since I have to cancelaura on subterfuge), then continue spamming that one button and it is fucking amazing! I built 3 macros based off of your rotation and they haven't failed me yet! Love this video!!! I know it's situational which is why I always play with the abilities hotkeyed as well, but for openers, macroing your sequence is beautiful!

How do you manage your keybinds? I have trouble juggling normal finishers then stealth bar changes those to openers and the dance bar tries to juggle both openers and finishers. I didn't see a keybind video so thought I'd ask.

I use mod / stance: Macros in every slot, letting me do different things if im in different stances (Out of stealth, Stealth, shadow Dance) and holding shift or control. I set up my buttons to do similar things in and out of stealth, and cast at my focus that way. Example: /cast [nomod,stance:0] Kidney Shot /cast [nomod,stance:1/2/3] Cheap Shot /cast [mod:shift,stance:0/1/2/3] Smoke Bomb /cast [mod:ctrl,stance:1/2/3,@focus] Cheap Shot /castsequence [mod:ctrl,stance:0,@focus] Marked for Death, Kidney Shot

Question..... why you do not use Kidney shot ? This is how i open in cataclysm: Premed>SnD>Cheapshot>x1hemmorage (for bleed)>Kidneyshot>Shadowstep>PvP trinket>Shadowdance> spam ambush > eviscerate>disarm>spam hemmorage>evasion>spam hemorage>eviscerate>vanish. And for the most times it works just fine... again why you do not include kidney shot?

Because it's not for CC chains, its for opener burst in a stun lock, and you can do all that damage in 1 stun.

Shadow Blades has a long CD while Dance is a minute. I could clearly make a Shadow Blades opening video. How ever it's exactly the same minus how many skills it takes to get 5 combo points, since each skill is generating an extra.

in PvP do you think there would be any problem with being a full haste subtlety Rogue? this is not the way that I went I went the traditional way for high-pressure damage I'm just wondering if haste is as viable for putting out the same amount or maybe more or maybe slightly less damage. the only reason I'm even thinking this is that people see big numbers and they freaked out and there goes their cool downs but I wonder if you could force more cool downs by putting more numbers up. Panic damage I guess

Haste is an incredibly weak stat for any pvp rogue. Due to the fact that we have relatively low up time on our target. Over all you're far better off going for Mastery.

Why is it, you use Rupture instead of Garrote in your 1st opener? I understand the 25 energy return, but, you use rupture when you have 2 combo points. What is the benefit of rupture when you do not receive the 25 energy return? Is this a "luck" opener?

It doesn't have to be 5 points. Slice and Dice is what you want, as it regenerates Energy for you. Only really need Rupture up while you're dealing damage. I have been energy pooling and been doing a lot better, but i still can't seem to kill healers, with the silence opener, should i try to force some cool downs first and pool energy. Should i be waiting for trinket proc before dancing and i was wondering about positioning in 2s I'm running Resto druid sub rogue, and we struggle with healer comps. Thanks

Trevor H Vs a lot of healers it's best to Save your Garrote for after your stun rotation is finished, as it's another 4.5 seconds of CC vs them. Casters like Ele Shamans or Holy Paladins can use CD to dampen your opener pressure. Proc trinket is almost up in the opener all the time. But it is wise to save CDs till it's up again if you haven't used them, Since it is a large portion of our damage.

ok i installed it but it still doesnt appear on their face icons like it should....i only see it as debuff is his debuff-lane
