How to Open the Tailgate from the Inside of your Suzuki Jimny (2018+) SZ4/SZ5 "Passenger" Model

If you have a Suzuki Jimny (2018+) SZ4 or SZ5 "Passenger" model (four seater) and camp inside your car, you'll know how frustrating it is that you can't open the tailgate from the inside!
Suzuki have remedied this for the 2021+ LCV "Commercial" model that is sold in Europe by introducing a number of new components. In this video we show you how to fit these parts to your SZ4/SZ5 Jimny to enable the tailgate to opened from the inside.

The funny thing is that the car user manual says that there should be a stock inner door handle. Exactly the one you talking on 12th minute of this video.

The video shows the difference between the original inner latch mechanism supplied on SZ4/SZ5 models, and the latch mechanism supplied on LCV models.

Couldn't you just use a razor and cut out the flap yourself? Would save a lot of trouble.
