All these people mocking him for some mistakes that have never operated any equipment especially old equipment that sticks and is really unresponsive. They would all end up threw the side of that truck if they where driving. Keep it up man no person is perfect.

I do agree with the person that said something about never enter a pile if you are not in first gear it if bad on the engine but other than that keep it up.

The previous mine I worked at had a 1995 Teledyne hoe ram with terrible hydraulics that would jerk and cross-bleed. It was all I could do to not tear anything up with it, much less actually break rock!

OMG !! how dirty it is !!! I worked on this in clean socks and there was a clean rug on the floor. The cabin is so wide that it allows you to immediately remove dirty shoes on the rug with a side and work in maximum comfort and cleanliness. Excellent loader. Worked on it in the conditions of the North near Vorkuta. The glass was very freezing during a snow storm. Hello to all the world’s operators from Russia!

Fun video. I love how quiet loaders are today. My first one had a 4-53 Detroit, once started, you throttled it to redline, like 2,500-2,800 RPM and worked all day in your open ROPS cab.

Small underground mining equipment is still like that. Open cockpit, mechanical throttle, 2300RPM and move some muck! I always bring a pair of earplugs or muffs if I'm doing more than moving the machine ten feet. I'm 24 and my hearing is already a bit jacked up from working in crusher plants, so I try to protect what I've still got.

Sorry bud but the title of the video should be “can some show me how to operate”. First off your circle check should be done before turning the key. Second always go into a pile in 1st gear or you will just chew up the transmission and third why use 2 hands for your bucket controls? They are made to be used with one hand. And finally always use 3 points of contact when getting on or off a piece of equipment.

4th gear will absolutely NOT give you more power. The loader has more torque the lower the gear. This is hard to watch. Get out of the loader before you damage it

You are absolutely right cause I was shocked to hear him say that😢. I'm from Africa precisely Cameroon and my three years of experience has only been on a CAT 962H. It really cost a lot to own one in my country so such mistakes might damage the equipment 😭😫

Basically, lower gears give lower speed but higher torque and higher gears give you lower torque but higher speeds

The lower the gear the more torque not a higher gear more power. And the left pedal is a clutch brake not just a brake. Just saying

That’s the machine He’s driving..😆🤣 I operate my loader. The Far left pedal is to control rim pull and You had better check more than just fuel, transmission fluid and grease during a pre-shift inspection. If you’re going to put out a video on how to operate a loader you should probably learn how to operate it yourself.

Far left pedal in the 986 And lower is a de clutch it only kicks it into neutral, and acts as a brake 988 and up is when it controls rim pull and acts as a brake

This looked like a 966H. We run 972Ms, a 980G, 980Hs, a 988G and a 988H where I'm currently working.

This must be a joke right. Digging in 4 gear, that will get you fired. 2 brakes. Don't put these videos up as a joke. Some dumb ass is going to get killed and it will be your fault. Left brake is a brake and trans disconnect. Right brake is just brake so if your going down a steep hill you can use brake while your in gear. Fill bucket in 1st or 2nd if loose material. Only use 4 th on road or across yard maybe. Load while going straight, never spin a tire, put bucket down at pile so you don't wear edges out fast. When you start in pile lift bucket that will transfer weight to front tires giving you more traction. I've trained 30 loader operators. Many have top jobs in gravel pits now. One of my 18 year olds just got on operating a 988 feeding a crusher with world wide company.

You shouldn’t be teaching how to operate a loader, first off use a lower gear when entering a pile, second you didn’t even explain your walk around, and mostly 3 points of contact when exiting your machine you should always face your equipment and walk down it, smdh.....

You mean drivers license? As far as i know there is no license requirements to operate a loader off-road on a construction site. Just don't drive on the road. You will need proper training from an experienced, on-site operator though.

First check fuel def oil .check hydrolic transmission controls be sure there is no material under bucket cylinders blow out filter check great lines if yousing auto graser grease nipples that lines are broken keep pins happy it s your doll its you I AM THE LOADER ATTITUDE THEN CHECK LIGHTS WIperS report all damage number 1 take pictures blow out rads filter and engine takes about 30 min but your ass is covered
