btw, I believe you can use your competitors brand names in the Subject Matter section because there's no way for the competitors to see it while there're some tools that can allow you to see the Search Terms section

Hi Arkadii! Amazon automatically scans for trademarked terms and can flag your listing if they are in your backend whether your competitors know or not.

Even if your product is new and you need to rank it first, you will still put your most relevant and higher search keywords on the listing?. And then do a SFB launch on the phrases you want to rank for, that are usually not the top searched ones?

Yes. Optimize for your top-searched, relevant keywords and target long tail, less competitive phrases that contain your main keywords in them. Every keyword in the phrases you wish to rank for when starting out should already be present somewhere in your listing but if not be sure to add them before driving traffic. I hope this helps!

I'm about to launch a new product so I prepared the title of the listing in a way that contains top-search keywords but also tried to mix it with a bit of long tail and edit the title in between the next 30 days with the final one and hopefully my top search keywords in phrase mode. Hi Sumner I'm watching a lot of your videos and it is really helpful as an aspiring Amazon Account Manager. Just want to clarify about the backend, you mentioned that it's okay to put not so relevant keyword that is highly searched and I noticed it as well that competitors are also using those not so relevant keywords on their listing. Example: my product is "insulated tumbler", then I saw my competitors' keyword and they include "insulated water bottle". Is it okay to put that as well on my backend? Thank you in advance :)

Hi Alj! As long as someone would type these keywords into Amazon , see your product as one of the search results, and then buy I would recommend to include somewhere within your listing.

Great video, thanks man! Just one question I am struggling with. I am in a category (jewellery) where the initial search starts with quite generic search terms after which people browse quiet a bit before making a purchase. So my most relevant search terms are about fifteen 2-4 word phrases that are a combination of only 6 unique words. So the combination of words is important. How does amazon identify these word combinations if I cannot repeat words and if I don't use comma's when filling in the back end key words? If I just fill in these 6 unique words, then I assume that my word combinations are lost, right? How do you see this? Thanks!

Hi Maarten! You can absolutely repeat keywords but as far as I know there isn't much benefit in terms or ranking in doing so. First I recommend creating as big a keyword list as possible using either Helium 10 or Seller.Tools. I wouldn't personally use any other tool. Once you have around 1,000 keywords use each individual word at least once (if they make sense) in the title, backend, bullets, and description. What you can do is rearrange these words in an order to where they also make up commonly searched phrases. I hope this helps!

It is not so much that I want to repeat key words, but as the word combinations that come out of my H10 research consist of combinations often using the same word I am struggling with how to put them in my back end fields. For example... ladies necklace goldplated, chain necklace goldplated, woman necklace gold (and so on). Do I just put in the unique keywords and let the amazon algo process the combinations or do I fill in the complete word combo's (which probably are not seen as combo's anymore as there are no comma's). I got the feeling that for optimizing my listing I just use the unique key words and forget about the combinations. These combinations become relevant only when starting with ppc. I hope this makes sense ;-)

@@maartengreve7115 If I understand correctly given your example you would use the keywords "ladies", "necklace", "goldplated", "chain", "woman", "gold", etc. Essentially remove duplicates for your backend. For your bullets and description you can use the full phrase if it makes sense but more importantly you should try to fit as many individual words > complete phrases. Hope this helps!

Hello Sumner! We're looking to step up our game. We want to improve the user experience, sales and sales/review ratio. We thought to add an insert card, but instead of asking for a review we will just give them a secret and guaranteed gift. The plan is the user scans our QR code, goes to Manychat sequence and from there we ask for their email address, where we send the gift (wether is a discount code, ebook, valuable content, whatever). I’ve taken a look to some videos from you regarding Manychat and inserts and seems this shouldn’t violate Amazon ToS as I’m not trying to get sales through other channels, but on the other hand it might be in the case of me trying to get the user out of the Amazon messaging?. How do you see this? I was also listening to the Helium 10 seller podcast and they were also saying that we should avoid putting QR code so I'm kind of lost. For my product description I focus on my main product phrase that I can realistically rank for organically on Google and repeat it a few times. For A+, yes, make sure all keywords in your description migrate over to the alt text sections.

Also if I have an A+ content and I write just the keywords in the product description bar on amazon, does my keywords get indexed, or you would not suggest doing that?

Hi Umer! I recommend going for greater keyword variety over density. Now, if your list is fairly small than it can be a good idea to repeat your main phrases in your backend as well. Also, keep in mind some of your top phrases will likely be naturally repeated in your bullets & descriptions.

Do you think the keywords that we enter would get indexed even if they are not being shown on the front end because of A+ content? Would you suggest we bombared that 2000 characters with keywords to get some extra juice?
