I do all the books for my business, and taxes for myself and my husband, and I personally have some extra things I've found help a lot: 1) GO DIGITAL! All my recurrent bills I receive over email, and the vast majority of them arrive before the 12th of the month. 2) PAY ELECTRONICALLY! Usually around the 12th, or when all the bills are here, I log in to my internet banking and pay everything in one go by local transfer. 3) Store those bills in folders on your pc month by month (for my business, I find a folder a month works well for tax purposes) so everything is there when tax season comes around and you don't need to go digging in your email to find that one bill you know you have. 4) Ask companies to email you invoices when you buy something once-off. Buy something online? ask them to email you the invoice (which they usually do anyway) 5) so actually, at the end of the day, less than 5% of my bills and expenses are on paper and those are mostly physical purchases (office supplies I bought locally, and gas for the business vehicle). It's so much easier to keep stuff digital. Usually every two months or so, I use CamScanner to take digital scans of receipts and file them, and then I never get to look at them again. Yay! This cuts down on so much paper handling and filing. I have one binder for all 5 years of tax history I'm mandated to keep.

Alejandra, your work to organise papers and data things is the gratest in all KZbin. It seems nobody have got the courage to do a video about this yet, but you are making even series and I am so pleased. I am glad to feel accompanied in this journey of paper work. The shelves, your desk, and even the cutie poodle make perfection seem like a real word 😄. 💛Wish you the best, thank you for the good inspiration.⭐

I have a basket with 6 file folders. All new mail goes in the Consider folder if I don't have a chance to look at the mail yet. After I look at it and recycle what I don't want, I have the Hold, Do, Coupons, File and Pay folders. When the File one gets full, I file them in the file cabinet. Works great for me.

I like the ideal of sorting before it comes into the house with the bins. How about removing labels from magazines, coupons, etc. for security reasons. Catalogs also put your name and a code on the order sheet with your special code. Shouldn’t these be removed before recycling?

what is the meaning of shred? I like your videos I am 11 years old.
@wiltrudfriesch67814 жыл бұрын
It exist a machine called shredder. You put papers/documents with important datas (your address, bank datas, etc.), that you really don't need anymore and wich you must not keep for later, in one side and on the other side of the machine come out thin paper slices. That's called "shredding/shred". But you'r so young, you probably don't have such important documents to shred.

I’m honestly asking this question because I didn’t know.... Why can’t receipts be recycled?
@grumpy97214 жыл бұрын
Receipts are printed on a special type of paper that cannot be recycled, because it is covered with a film of special paint which reacts with high temperature. Check on the net for thermal paper. Cheers 😀

@MartinPlanner24 жыл бұрын
i highly advise against throving reciepts away as you get them...this makes tracking your purchases and trends impossible, unless you have an automated system that tracks every purchase you make, pulling from your bank account, otherwise, if you are living cash-only, it's a good system to get an app a program or even paper based system set up where you track all your spending and personal income, so you can have long term statistics and change way of life easy and clear decisions, because you had the data to back it up, and no hassle to remember how many times you went out dining or who gave what party and other things.
