@Enderplays124 жыл бұрын
EVGA warranty covers OC damage, it's on their website. Still, unless you're doing jack all with the card, it would just crash the program before anything bad happens. Source: www.evga.com/support/faq/FAQdetails.aspx?faqid=55
@Jeff-ct2xe5 жыл бұрын
Hey @WiLcreatives - promise this is my last question of the day, LOL. I got the RTX 2070 Super XC installed. So I'm using EVGA's Precision software to try to OC it even more. I was able to do the test that crashed in your video, but it only gave me a 34 to increase. Assuming this is because my card is already OC'd by EVGA? Also, where do you find info on how to increase the memory with my current configuration? Aurora R7, i7-8700, 3.2 ghz --- would it be similar to what you did with your 2080 XC? Hope what I'm asking makes sense. Thanks again!
@WiLcreatives5 жыл бұрын
You are correct in your assumption. The card is already overclocked. You may be able to get an additional 50mhz on the core instead of 34mhz. Depends on stability of the system. With the memory OC I would try every 200-400mhz at a time. Usually maybe around an additional 500-700mhz most people are able to do. Again it’s all about the stability of your system.
@Jeff-ct2xe5 жыл бұрын
@@WiLcreatives and what is the best way for me to test stability? Continue running benchmark tests in 3dMark? Or a stress test? Haven't done a stress test with 3d Mark yet, but would that let me know if my numbers are too high?

Just got this card yesterday. I'm pretty new to OC'ing so I have some questions. Will doing this method harm the card in any way? What is the max temperature you would want to be around? Also, sometimes I have some big gaming sessons, like 8hrs. Would it be ok to OC even during those long sessions? I want to get the most fps out of it I can without damaging it.
@WiLcreatives5 жыл бұрын
one time No it won’t the card would shut down before you get to a point her something starts to go wrong. Once you find out your max stable OC then drop it by maybe 20mhz for long sessions. Temps with this card should be no higher than 65-70 degrees with good airflow.

Hey man I'm confused, after you increase the clock/mem and its stable do you leave the voltage/power at high and fan curve at aggressive or do you turn them back to normal? Thanks for help
@kentd28694 жыл бұрын
voltage is the allowed range for the card to get from the psu but its not the live voltage thats being pulled from the psu, for the fan curve it's personal preference, you can use a quieter fan curve but it will give higher temp under load (less accustics) and when the card reaches the max temp it will reduce the clock speed to maintain below that max temp Wil's vid is for how to oc, for mechanisms and logics behind it I suggest Jayz2cent's vid, there's one specifically show how the card reacts to oc, I hope this helps
