Mr D., If you watch more of his videos, he explains that blaming other's is a form of pathological loneliness. We must hold ourselves accountable for the decisions that result in undesirable consequences. Blame is the band-aid that covers up the unsolved pain. You are the architect of your own pain and joy. Seek solutions instead.

Me too, almost 3.5 years alone since my husband of 30 years left, he participated in parental alienation of my adult kids too, but with Gods help I now understand my value is in Christ alone and not in being a wife or mother. When you finally step into who you are in Christ, you no longer live in fear or anxiety. You trust God's plan for your life 100%, even if it doesn't look anything like you thought it would.

This is excellent. Every other video about loneliness says that people just need to be around other people in order to cure loneliness, but you understand that advice is only meant to distract people from loneliness. Being alone and feeling lonely are two different things, but few people understand that.

If you are interested in the actual "root" cause , then ,catharsis, dream therapy, & regression techniques will help you revisit the trauma that put you on a trajectory of fear whether it was something you interpreted as abandonment as a child (it may not have been) or abuse . It needs to come to the surface if you want to fill that hole otherwise you WILL be on that treadmill that he repeatedly displayed. An instant "fix" would be Behavioral Therapy or conditioning. It does not get to the root but it does release anxiety. There are some new techniques like Neuroplasticity which helps reprogram the brain and helps us to quiet our minds long enough to take a look at our issues. The most immediate relief comes from "Open Focus" , this was developed by a neuroscientist at Princeton. Victor Frankl's book "Man's Search For Meaning " is life changing. The bottom line is that there is help for anyone who wants to not keep "falling into the hole". Cheers.

Thank you for your analysis of the root of this toxic loneliness. You explain this phenomenon of the human condition so well in a way I have never read or heard. Over the past couple of years, I have had to face this toxic fear of loneliness head on a toxic marriage situationship came to an end. It was so toxic, that when I told people that knew what I had been dealing with that I was divorced, they said congratulations, thank God. But, actually I felt damaged, broke down, like damaged goods and suffered extreme dismay. The real reason, I felt this way is because after two marriages and two divorces, first divorce initiated by me after 1.5 years and second divorce initiated by ex after 28 years, never erased the negative feelings I was trying to run away from. I had no choice but to face my fears and insecurities or continue going on the same way. I am now coming to the understanding of myself. I am not alone. Reading my Bible assures me that God is always with me. Thank you again for your insight.

Same here. Hurt in the past, developed things like gender dysphoria, p0rn addiction, loneliness, all kind of fears. Today I feel complete and peaceful, can spend days on my own. Thanks to the love oof God. I fully agree with Toms videos, but I just don't know how we can pure again without going through the pain again. When Gods love is touching me, the old pain is touches and can be cried out, then it's solved. So for me, TOm is teaching excellent things, but the only thing needed to solve the root cause is the love of Jesus Christ (God). I never hear him mentioning that. (As the lack of love is causing all our fears and hurtings and addictions).

correct me if i am wrong but a lot of bla bla and not getting to the "root" of the problem. This guy is a master of avoiding the subject. He constructs a lot of topics and upload new videos to lure new subscribers for his channel but never giving them the straight answer to solve their problems. That's because of the character of the person. Some people really want to help others while others want to speculate and take advantage on their problems.

As you were going through wooden-blocks demo came to mind at the end what is this verse: The voice of him that cries in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it. Hi Suzie 👋 my goal has been trying to find like minded people, friends on same level of life. I feel like I try, but don't try too hard. It's almost as if people have lost connection, conversation abilities. It's difficult to get people to interact. Would you like to be a pin pal? I can tell you what I've tried by trial and error.
@Michel777
@Michel777 3 жыл бұрын
I've said that before SuzieQ Wonder. Now I say: I don't need friend. I need to be my own friend in the "very first place". That's the way to attract the people who I want to have next to me. Not to "get" from them, but "to share" with them.
@ferventlypassionatebelieve3146
@ferventlypassionatebelieve3146 3 жыл бұрын
SuzieQ Wonder, I believe that you speak truth - We need friends. This vid shared a view (and process) that was also correct, other than the "answer" - (that part comes via a "course") and True Freedom only comes from Jesus and He already paid Full Price for it!!! I could hear your heart, in that, you desire an answer for the world. What a treasure and a Beautiful thing. Imagine that,... a person who actually cares, a rarity indeed. You have a good heart. We yearn (and have been created) for a connection that can Only be fulfilled by The Father, Through His Holy Spirit. There is No Fear, In The Love of God. The like minded part, in your desire for a friend is a tricky portion. This (in my humble opinion) requires a level of Trust and Belief - in God (and His timing) that only comes from a place of intimacy, from his presence - that we know "Him" as friend (most importantly) FIRST. I doubt that you will ever read this, but on the outside chance that you do - please know that I'm in prayer for you - to find a few Honest and True friends that have yeilded and surrendered themselves to Jesus as their Lord and Savior. It's from that place that all Blessings flow. As The Father reminds them of their True Spiritual Identity in Him, they are affirmed (the plan of God all along) of their Sonship or Daughterhood - In The Father and the deep healing of many wounds (of life's pains, hurts & habits) ensues. From that Healing and Wholeness - Faith, Hope and Love arise. True Joy is a Gift of The Lord that comes from His presence. I pray that you meet friends who are Brave enough to share that gift (in this day & age) because, the intentionality of such shared Beautiful Gifts (from the Heart of God) is that His Gifts and His Love is Always "others centered" and are very much meant to be Shared and Enjoyed with others from the infilling of The Holy Spirit of Love Himself and from that overflow. I Believe that "Holy" highlighted your desire for a friend as a way to reconnect (you) with His Heart. Friends are Blessings from God, they become family. You have been created for a Great Plan and a Wonderful Purpose for such a time as this. God Bless you sister. I Speak Life and Peace over you - (your spirit, your body and your soul.) Peace. Be Still and Know that Jesus Is Lord. I share this, In The Mighty Name of Jesus. Be Blessed. Amen.

It is relieving to see why we are doing what we are doing. Fear is the opposite frequency of love and essential for our survival in this life therefore should be experienced in moderation I suppose. We need fear in moderation to keep our awareness for life's challenges so we proceed towards our unique development. However, when we forget about what we are doing on this earth 'tools' become 'goals' and 'utilities' become 'purpose of the life' and in no time we become needy to numb ourselves with alcohol, weed, drugs, etc. Thanks for spreading awareness.

Wow! Have heard a ton of inspirational, motivational, encouraging messages, sermons. Have listened to counselors & psychologists. This has been the best & most informational video. Really appreciate you making this video! Grew up in a dysfunctional home myself & unfortunately going through a very toxic divorce. We both have issues & when things were great they were awesome, but when they were bad they were awful. Went to counseling for a few years individually & collectively and it just didn't work. Used exercise & writing as distractions. Now using alcohol as well to escape. Still haunted by the things she has either text or said to me that is extremely hurtful. Blaming me for everything--- essentially a borderline personality disorder/narcissistic traits vs my co dependent traits = toxic environment/trauma bond. As miserable as I was in the marriage I find myself as bad or worse now with the exception of not having to walk on eggshells. Sad how someone can discard you after emotionally abusing you. All this information although valuable I can't seem to implement. Still exercising myself to death trying to escape, working 45-50 hours & drinking. I know I need to stop the drinking. Have essentially not family & very few friends to vent to. Everyone gets tired of hearing it & I don't blame them. Wish I could just suck it up & move forward. Never experienced panic attacks, a dark depression & anxiety like this. Trying to feel grateful for what I do have as opposed to what I don't have. To all those who can halfway relate to my story I sincerely hope you have solid family/friends to get you through

Michael Gholson - I'm right there with you! No family and few friends. That's a consequence of being codependent. Doing things for other people with the expectation of being liked and accepted only makes others (who are predominantly narcissistic in the world) disrespect us. Then we are confused. That confusion makes us angry and our anger (i.e. the resulting behavior of holding people accountable for hurting us) gives all those freaking narcissists more ammunition to consider themselves the victims and treat us horribly! I have complex post traumatic stress from a 22 year abusive marriage...so I'm constantly in hyper-vigilant mode to protect myself. because of this - I was accused recently of "hating everyone". As with all information, it is first necessary (even though it hurts) to ask ourselves if it is at all true. So I did a bit of an investigation into that. I learned that the most loving and most hopeful persons are (in fact) easily angered. Hope drives anger/rage. Which makes sense because when we hope for something and work toward it - we expect good things. Since narcissists always repay good with evil we are constantly disappointed. I learned (in my research) that "Under every angry person you will find an eternal optimist". So, the statement that I hate everyone is simply not true - but the results understandably look that way. This is the way it is with most of us. We are odd because we choose win/win relationships in a world where others demand us to loose! One thing I know is that we cannot depend on anyone outside of ourselves to 'get us through'. We are totally on our own to heal this hurt/loneliness - and I'm determined to do it!

I grew up in an Australian home with cycling domestic violence that often became criminal domestic violence lasting for 35 years. Being the eldest sibling I took the responsibility to assist my mother while not letting my father figure out that I was not totally loyal to him. Eventually my mother left the marriage, changed her name and went into hiding after all of her children had left home. For three years after the father stalked, blackmailed, intimidated my siblings and by this time three of us had our own children who were also involved. He lied to police trying to destroy careers as retribution for not being successful in returning our mother to him. He eventually held one brother and his girlfriend at their farm home with a sawn-off shotgun for over 30 hours. He eventually went to prison for 6 years although escaped for one week in the first year of his sentence. The police would not charge him for the many other crimes he committed towards my mother and after a 10 year campaign which also involved court cases against my mother who had tried to shoot him with a black market pistol, but was found not guilty on the grounds of self defence. The media got hold of this story since most domestic violence victims don't usually avoid long sentences when they finally stand up for themselves. The Barrister used his connections with state parliament to have questions put to the police minister and we started our own private prosecution against our father. Because of the 10 year campaign of fighting the police and DPP (department of public prosecutions) I had complex PTSD. Out of embarrassment the police Ethical standards unit took on the case and after a long court battle he was to serve 17 years with a non parole period of 10 years. He died in gaol on the 11th of September 2015, I was 48 years of age. It had taken me 7 years to find a doctor willing to help me with my PTSD. I have made good progress but I still cannot let go of the trauma or memories. I also had a very messy divorce in 2010 from a narcissistic wife. I liked being married when I was married. I prefer not being married now and I cannot look forward to my daughters wedding in a months time because of the broken family I now have and the fact I have to be in the same place as the ex-wife. It will not be comfortable. I cannot spend time with my siblings because they avoid each other and me because of the triggers we set off when we interact. I have two friends but the relationships have limitations (one due to distance and the other because of personality for her own domestic abuse) that are unfulfilling. I only have two friends because I lost connection with my older friends while living in hiding after my mother left her marriage in 2000. I was better while the family cat of 18 years was still alive but she died in my arms on the 1st of August 2018. I still cannot get over her loss. I am more lonely than ever. I lack energy and drive. My work place has become toxic because of a narcissistic principal who the staff call Teflon because nothing sticks to him and I was targeted by him. I am totally lost and only feel comfortable when I am stoned. I gave up for 1.5 years with the doctors help but after the cat died I fell back on the weed I really enjoy. I can cry at the drop of a hat. I am a comedian while at work but I am never truly happy. I have a science degree, I am a thinker or overthinker. But I cannot seem to fully heal. I don't know what to do. I am not suicidal but life is a chore to me. I don't know how to heal and move on now that the malignant narcissist/ sociopathic father is gone. I do not have a solid family of friends to lean on. I have collected some nice toys to play with (motorbikes and custom cars) but lack the drive to play with them on my own. With such ingrained psychological issues I don't think I can do the necessary healing on my own. The search for the right help goes on. This video was good information to identify that I need to do more but it falls short on how to do it.

Sounds like you need to give yourself a break. You're working extremely hard, in fact, I think you're kinda working yourself to death here, 😥. I think you should focus less on "doing more", and you should probably focus more on what you "already do". I think the answer is to just BE AWARE of yourself as you do all these AMAZING things you already do to make life better. I think that YOU'RE RIGHT, it's gratitude and appreciation, and I think that you're owed a lot of gratitude, love, affection, and attention; But nobody ever gave you what you need without a price tag attached. I feel scared too, and I feel hopeless and numb inside. Everything I just said to you I was also saying to myself, because I felt that overwhelming desperation to just fill the hole inside of yourself in your comment... Everything's gonna be ok, 😁. I think we've done so much, and are doing so much, that it's time to reap the rewards we've been so doggedly and determinedly been sowing. I think it's time to let go, and just let ourselves be ENOUGH. It's time to just enjoy our own company and be PRESENT, 😉🤗

Just what I needed , someone to explain what has been going on with me. and how I can resolve it. Thank you so muck now maybe I can get a good night sleep for once . I'm in a long distance relationship it is very stressful were at times I don't see my lady for a long time.. but I love this woman very much and would like very much for it to work out. we both been down some rough roads and its hard for me to trust anyone anymore . creating anxiety and jealousy in me , then in return causing me to loose a lot of sleep. I need to put this to bed once and for all. so I can be at peace once and for all. . Thank you so much. I have felt so broken. Steven D.

A lot of lonely people are missing the skills to find and maintain social connections due to childhood isolation or neglect and we have 0 meaningful solutions for someone who missed out on that. On top of that the feeling of being abandoned as a child makes something so much larger than just a little fear- a primal part of our brain and our psychological development is arrested at a stage where abandonment = mortal danger.

loneliness is often a by-product of a gifted mind. its not all bad, its just a matter of perspective. dont limit your circle with just "friends". co-worker, acquaintance, stone head dude that work at 7/11, hiking guider, door-to-door salesperson etc. theyre not your friends, but they give you the chances of interaction, interaction = knowledge, knowledge = wisdom, wisdom give more room learning abt yourself, and thus learning to love yourself. internet only give you the general idea, but reality is, not everybody born in poverty or america. magic is in you, learn how to cast it

The drive to resolve the unsolved pain seems to derive directly from the fight-or-flight mechanism. Yet, if one stood and fought every time the conflict arises seems to have the potential to unwind in the most dreadful of ways including getting fired, getting murdered, or becoming a hated soul. What is your take now, My Dear & Trusted Alive Academy Professor? Otherwise, it sounds like Gautama’s path to enlightenment. It also gives me a better appreciation of psychopaths and sociopaths.

Now when I experience trials and tribulations, I know I can turn to our HEAVENLY FATHER for relief. GOD IS GOOD. ❤☺ HE loves us no matter what is happening in our lives. (No longer an atheist--I prefer having someone to turn to better).🐤

You are welcome Patrick. You are free to choose how fast you go towards liberation. We are conditioned to believe that solving the very core will be overwhelming and that we have to relive or have to keep talking about our unsolved emotions in order to get rid of them, but the truth is, that flushing out the root cause of our unsolved emotions is far easier than living with them, even with some escaping distractions.
