How to Overcome Your Insecurities (The Ultimate Solution)

Never let your degenerative thoughts about your own unfortunate & uncontrollable attributes, overcome your desire to strive to experience the finer things in life. No man is born equal, one person's circumstances maybe slightly/significantly worse than another, and that can throw you off balance mentally about your state of worthiness. However, your tenacity to become more despite the disadvantages that you are born with & those of your own doing, will eventually put you in a place where you can be equal/better than those who are initially more fortunate than you.

The unfairness is sometimes too much for one to handle, because we're too fixated on the ideals of balance or justice in this case. We're to conditioned to believe that "With every action there is an equal and opposite reaction" is inevitable to happen regardless. That if one is more fortunate than us in one area, we are fortunate in another. Its not always the case in reality, one can be superior than the other in all areas, and the inferior will have to live with that and climb the steeper and rougher ladder to become as fortunate as the other.

Love the Kevin Hart Reference...we can be more than meets the eye, although looks are an advantage...mindset, personality and who we are on the inside are way more important.

I’ve had to learn this the hard way. I grew up with a really bad sutter. Something I can’t control, people have always either mocked me or behind my back or give me there piety. Which is worse in some cases. But I started to learn this lesson when I was in USMC boot camp. There was a guy who had a hard time sounding off. The DIs looked at him and went bs (me) has no issue saying the knowledge and falling in line. And after that it got me thinking, that it’s pretty useful. It’s like a comment filter but for real life. And at the same time I’ve done a lot of work to fix it. Anyways your awesome man! You got my full support!

The humor part is Soo true in but it needs regulation. Being too funny will lessen your seriousness in the eyes of others. Thanks for sharing

True, that's why we cannot be too available for everyone. We must maintain some sense of mystery/aloofness to keep people guessing

Probably my greatest insecurity is my own physique as well, I mean isn't this the case for most men? Anyway, there is a history of diabetes and obesity on all but one side of my family. I seem to have dodged the bullet and have remained scrawny and underweight most of my life and yes I have been picked on by almost everyone for it. It took me sixteen years to realize how fucked up it was to be made fun of for not being a statistic. But when that BS goes on long enough, sometimes I can't tell if someone is paying a genuine compliment or busting my balls. Just recently my roommate made a comment about doing laundry on my stomach. Now whenever someone calls me skinny, I tell them "No. You're just fat." Maybe they do this to me out of jealousy, I don't know, but I've endured it for too long to give a damn about their feelings about their weight anymore.

I am able to do a lot. Am talented. Am not exactly ugly. But my hate for myself comes from discipline, I am my worst enemy when I make the tiniest mistakes. Have beaten, burned and inflicted pain via other means to discipline myself, just because of error. I hate myself, because sometimes I lose my control.

Honestly? I desperately needed this video. A lot of my insecurities are the ones that can't be changed though. Any advice on how to compensate for height?

Competence in many admirable areas. Get athletic, learn multiple languages, play musical instruments, be more significant in your personality such as be way more motivated, persistent, funnier, riskier than others around you. You can watch Richard Hammond's podcast with The Diary of a CEO and he talks about this particular compensation with regards to being vertically challenged

@@Forged88 thanks for the advice. Just out of curiosity would you consider art or drawing a worthy pursuit? It's kind of what I'm passionate about but I don't know if it produces any real value or not.

@@xfighters3913 Of course its a worthy pursuit, are you so unsure of your own desires that you compare with others and see your passion as useless or valueless? It absolutely has value, after all you have a passion for it in the first place right? You love it so much you want to pursue it right? So why dont you just pursue it because you want to? Screw what everyone else thinks, I do music but get made fun of for what genre I like and do, even by my parents sometimes, but who cares? Its something I want to do, it what makes ME happy, why do I need to please others with what I want to do? Regardless if your passion is art or not, its value comes from your perception and passion for it not anyone elses happiness. Do what you're passionate about and never let anyone tell you what to think about what YOU like.
