One major key thing I figured out along the way is: The fourth discipline of Ironman, Nutrition! Hard training requires a lot of fuel. Some of my nutrition staples that help me reach a great quality of life, go on adventures, and reach my finish lines strong I get at Koro Shop
They have bulk items such as quinoa, buckwheat and amaranth, super powerful pseudocereals perfect for the demands of athletes

Great video. I'm racing 70.3 Barcelona in 6wks and I'll be keeping my bike split between 139-143bpm. That should set me up to run really well.

Great video. Thankyou. The issue I have is not having a PM so have to go by HR but I always get the race head on and go out too fast and we’ll into z3

Hey Mark! I feel you - the Triathlon Mockery Podcast calls that “letting the Chimp get to you”. The chimp is the voice in your head that tells you to go for it because “you’ve got this effort” 😂 and then you blow up

Doesn't matter the time, I want to finish it!!!!! My swim isn't good, my bike ride is quite ok and my run is so so... cross the fingers hihihihihihihi Super thanks for your tips

@@PatrickDelorenzican you elaborate a little for me please. When you are talking holding say 0.7 FTP, is this normalised power or actual power. Also I presume that you are looking at average over the whole race as opposed to 3sec power which has to increase to go up hills etc. Am I right in my logic? Thanks, Patrick

@@patrickmanson282 hi, intensity factor is related to normalized power, so in the best case scenario that is the value of reference to look at. But, you need to analyze in a case by case scenario: is your race hilly? Did you have to surge a lot to overtake people? In those cases average power is also a good metric to look at
