I tried Nate’s advice in a race yesterday and my second lap was faster than my first. Several passes made too. Last two weekends racing I’ve blown up after lap one. Great video.

I’m glad they jumped to the tt conversation especially for a cat 3 race. If you don’t go out really hard in order to get to the front you will be consigned to ride the race of those in front of you.

I also feel same about Whoop data. Sometimes it says you are primed to take on strain and I feel like I have no energy still, and vice versa.

Digestive enzymes & carbs before your race. During Mct oils, honey, methylene blue, water, and guar gum to emulsify the fats with the other ingredients 😂

Which is more important? Hitt or base ride? Or mix it together like 2 times base a week and the other days hitt?

They each have their place, and the frequency at which they're applied depends upon where you are in your season, the workouts before and after, your experience, time before your event, etc. This is why Plan Builder is great, takes all of that into consideration so that you dont have to do any guessing!

The other way around. 2 days of HIIT per week with endurance rides the rest. 2 rest days per week as well.

Keep it in mind that cat 3 only race one lap around 10 miles

It definitely varies depending upon XCO/short track/marathon. Knowing what you're in for based upon the course and your category is key in deciding how to pace!

No winner I’ve watched (Nino, Avancini, etc) stars low… if you loose the start you end pushing the bike up…
