We prepare to leave for a 3 month road trip, where we will be wheeling at off road trails and events around the country! It's the perfect chance to show how we pack up our Jeep Wrangler and Ford F450 for a long road trip! A great way to get ideas on how to pack your vehicle for your next off road adventure!

Me and my uncle was 15 miles from anywhere, with no cell service, and had a lighter knot stump rip a 3-inch gash in the sidewall of his tire, which was just a small 235/75/15 on his Toyota Tacoma, and we had no spare, plugs, or air for that matter, but we had a roll of Gorilla Tape, so we took the tire off and cut the hole just a little larger and filled the tire with sand and put Gorilla Tape over the hole and drove it 23 miles back to his house. lol. It worked great, and we didn't have to walk. Thank goodness we weren't in my Toyota because as seen in my profile pic' it had 18/44s on it. One of those filled with sand would have been hell to get back on. lol.

Small new 4x8 blue plastic tarp from harbor freight … like 4$… so you don’t have to lay in dirt or mud … plus if you spill it won’t go into the ground

Been getting ready for my trip out west at the end of August into September and watching this just reminded me that I need some big zip ties lol. Along with all my tools, recovery gear, and tire kit, I carry spare ujoints for both driveshafts and front axle shafts, extra lockout hubs, alternator, starter, fuel pump, fuel filters, turbo, and an assortment of things for electrical. Being 1700 miles from home and at times in the middle of nowhere, I want to be prepared for just about anything lol. I do have a little more room in the bed of my truck though than you do in the Jeep lol.

Is there a list of what you bring as far as tools, food, drinks, electrical (toiletries). Some type of a chronological order of what you bring. Lazy, no, your needs vs other needs are different. Ie - Rock Crawler, Overlander, Chase Truck (tools, spare parts, tire, etc). Why not, you have the rigs to accommodate as well as drive! Need Driver's, who knows. Man I wish I was in your shoes. Kevin, I PM'd you a while ago about getting rid of the hub oil and fill them with good "HI-TEMP GREASE" and you will NEVER have a seal leak or bearing failure! TRUST ME! 39 years of over the road experience. Safe travels guys. P.S.- if a seal leaks on your trip and you catch it, just fill it with grease to get you home.

I live in the Boise area, were do I find out when you will be here. I’m on my third Jeep build, but have hit a snag on getting it to fire and do the break in run. Hopefully I will have it done by the time you get here. I’m just turned 75 and still love wheelin. Did my first Jeep run on the 35th anniversary of the Jeep jamboree in 1987 with my bone stock 86 cj7. Been hooked ever since 😜
