I got pretty heavily involved with gear camping a few years ago. But now with the recent reverse shoulder replacement surgery's, I'm giving up the backpacking forays, for truck camping. I'll still use the gear that ,I would normally pack, but just not have to lug it around as much. I'll take my mountain bike along and my dog for exercise and companionship. What I would normally pack,I'll tote. The tote will keep my gear dry, serve as a table and then the easy storage of the tote once back home The tote has a lid to keep everything bug and dust free. I'll have several totes ready, for the different seasons, that I'll want to get in to.This system is what works for a 60 year old eagle scout, that solo camps on private land and NICE state parks. 👍😎☺😇🙏😎

See, this is how a "What to pack in cold weather hammock set-up" video should be done. Excellent video. Best one like this I have seen. Great job Dan. A lot of people don't know how to get started when it is a cold weather hammock camp out. Most people think of cold weather camping as just something you do with a tent. Glad to see someone show and explain what is essential in a cold weather/hammock camp out. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Good load out. I noticed you didn't mention the gloves hanging on the pack, but those are pretty much essential for the woods in my opinion. Also, any first aid items or toiletries? Not nit picking, as I know it's hard to list everything that you might carry etc. BTW, love that pack!
