I use the Trailblazer 44. Great bit of kit. I've put 2,500 miles into it and it's still like new. I've grown to like the roll top. I've always had lids before. Very comfortable fit and easily adjustable. I'd like side mesh pockets in addition to the mesh waist pockets, which are excellent, but that's me being super fussy :)

Great video, Jenny Tough is amazing, been following her adventures since I saw her talk at a Tiso outdoor experience day. Thank you Jenny and Montane for this film, some really good tips.

Great video!!! I m interested in this backpack but still not sure if 30 litres will be enough for me. So I want to ask about your opinion and experience. Talking about food supplies, for how many days are You able to pack in this bag without need to re-supply?

Loved the movie solo! What waterproof do you use? I have never found one that actually keeps me dry for more than an hour.

Every backpacker or trail hiker ive spoken to i always ask them what is the one items you are willing to spend a lot of money on. everyone has their own item, for example yours is the jacket. mine is my pack and trail runners. for some its their tent. its funny that we all have those items we are willing to spend more on.

For me it's shoes, socks and backpack. Because they provide the best additional quality of life upgrade for your money. But I do day hikes and it doesn't rain often here.

Socks, underwear are the only two I have spent a lot of money on (compared to what I usually pay for socks and underwear). Everything else is either cheap, homemade or at most mid range.

@@pigozs i have to agree on shoes and backpack, my osprey was the biggest difference ive noticed ever a part from changing from hiking boots at the start to trail runners

Very insightful. How bout your food though? Where do you fit al that? I find the food takes up a lot of space on multi day hikes

I'd love to hike in beautiful Canada, but the thought of Bears terrifies me! Even with Bear spray and all the precautions, I could NEVER really relax. Thats the good thing about the UK, no wild animals that can kill or eat you.

You look quite tall like 5’9-10”. But you fit a womans specific sleeping bag? Thought they were shorter

Your spine is the center of your torso rotation. Your hips rotate about half of your upper torso. Your pack rotates with your torso thrusting gear loads higher up and at the outsides of the pack. Therefore, your heaviest gear normally water should be lowest center of your pack and lightest outside and high in and outside of your pack - simple bio-mechanics to increase your speed, comfort, endurance and fatigue reduction.
