Good to see an honest review after a year of use. I have to ignore any reviews of items straight out of the wrapper! I have this rucksack and have taken a few ideas from your video for external additions. Thanks for taking the time to do this interesting video.

It’s a very good backpack very comfortable and very well made. The two main downsides I would say are the top brain is kind of mesh so not waterproof at all fine on a dry day but pretty useless if it’s raining, the other being an interior zip pocket. That said it’s a very good pack I’ve only used it once so still getting used to it. Great to see other people’s reviews of products I’ve purchased myself cheers

@TheFairway8 Thanks for the comments. Yes I agree the top mesh is useless in the rain, but great for securing snacks, maps for quick access. I kind of like the interior top lid zipper compartment to stash my keys and wallet. Items that I throw in, leave and not open until the end of the trip. I've own the pack for many years and take it everywhere, I will probably down size to the new 25L version once this pack breaks down.

Hi Darren, very good review thanks. I was hoping you’d put it on to show how the straps and bag work, nice job though. 😀

Great review, Darren. This one is on my short list. What size water bottles are you putting in the stretchy hip pockets? Thanks.

Hi Dave, I use a 750 ml Gatorade bottle with sports cap, because I like the wide mouth for filtering and adding electrolytes. The pocket is very stretchy and can handle about 1 liter capacity. Thanks for watching!

Excellent video dude. I think you would benefit from the bigger version though.

Thanks yeah, I'm trying to keep my kit down for shorter or weekend missions. I did upgrade to a Outdoor Vitals CS40 pack when I'm carrying a heavier load or aa bear canister is required.

Hello Darren, I'm Paul and just became your fan and nice to meet you.😊 I'm considering getting one (either 30l or 44l or both?) and looks like you're having fun with the pack. Thanks for the review and wish you happy trails. From northern Italy, pk

Thanks for the comment, both trailblazers are great affordable options and they just came out with a lighter version called LT 28L if you are into fast packing.

@@DarrenYee Awesome 👍 and yes, I'm into fast packing/trail running. I live not far from dolomiti mountains and looking forward to take it out for few days around Cortina/Dobbiaco area. Meanwhile I'm walking the Via San Francesco (Near by Florence to Rome, 500k) now and I think lighter pack will a great option too.😊 Cheers! pk

Seems like a pretty rad pack! I'm impressed with how much gear you're able to get into that pack!

Yeah, I love my Trailblazer 30L It is a great day/overnight pack. Especially the running vest type shoulder straps. Just wish the front pockets where a little bigger to hold a water bottle. It is very versatile and it will train you to bring less, lol.

@@DarrenYee haha! Easiest way to lighten the pack is buy a smaller one and then you can only take what will fit! 😆
