In this video, I show you how to properly paint any 3D printed model from start to finish.
I forgot to add a section at the end of the video going over the final result. It turned out ok but especially the eyes, the nose, and the highlights of the face of the dragon could have been painted better. The Model of the dragon itself is very hard to print and lacks some details. I will keep all of these things in mind for the next project (you always learn from your past projects ). If you have any advice for future projects then feel free to leave a comment.

so you spray a filler separately from the primer? Would you mind sharing what filler you use? Ive never thought about doing it speerately and normally just use a filler primer. Is is beneficial to do it separately?

A filler primer is better! I just used that filler because I had it lying around.

I would like to make a cosplay. But i fear some parts will scrape to each other, and at the "contact" paint will be removed. Any idea how to make more durable? More clear coats. Like matt varnish? Also do you have experience with spray putty? Will it scrape off easily? I need smooth surface. Thanks for any help!

You can use spray putty to remove layer lines. You just need to prime it before painting and seal your paint job with a sealer. I recommend acrylic sealer (its available in matt and glossy). The primer and the sealer will keep the paint from scratching or peeling off but you will always have some wear in areas that rub against each other.

@@Craftknights3D Thanks! I was thinking about multiple layer of sealer coat is better for durability?
