Hey DAD! just a pointer on not wasting supports on the interior of hollow models. When u hollow out the model make sure u do infill but change the infill from 30% to 5% This will basically make the model hollow with like 1 or 2 supports inside that act as infill and when u add supports it thinks that the model is solid and will not put supports inside the hollowed out pieces! Amazing work!
@Groundeffected11 ай бұрын
Thanks. I just prefer doing supports to be sure I don’t have any weird stuff happen. I like to be in control of the failures haha better safe then sorry
@AuntJemimaGames11 ай бұрын
Having internal supports is generally considered a bad idea due to the supports potentially inhibiting proper full curing of the inside. Water curing might get around the issue, but I'd rather completely avoid the possibility of uncured resin inside of a model by limiting supports to only internal islands. UVTools is your friend! It's crazy how useful it is, and how much it can detect and correct on sliced models that seem just fine to print otherwise.
@evilldead682411 ай бұрын
@@AuntJemimaGames yeah that's the reason i do the 5% infill to keep slicer from putting the internal supports. the supports trap so much extra resin and if not cure will eventually make the resin fail, but to each their own if he still wants to have slicer put internal supports. I've never had a piece fail with 5% infill. Actually learned all this from The Creative Collector channel
@evilldead682411 ай бұрын
@@Groundeffected np to each their own. at 5% u still get some support inside. Really the only reason a hollow piece will fail is if u mess the wall thickness too much i keep mine at 1.5. If u are going to continue to let slice put internal supports be sure u got a good uv peen to cure all those supports so model wont fail in future. Just some advice to help take it or leave it :)

@@ゼクス風神拳as long as you not using copyright you can. I don’t sell any of the models I make I just print and paint them and keep them. Some custom requests for custom painting but never make a production of them.
@@ゼクス風神拳that is a grey area. Basically if you don’t own the ip you cant sell them. If it’s original and you have permission from the sculptor then you can. However if someone wants to pay for your time to paint their printed statue that looks like a recognized character I think you’re ok as long as you are not making with intent to sell. But I am not a lawyer and in reality I don’t sell any of my statues unless they are originals, I do however paint on commission bases time to time for custom collectors who want specific custom statues they can’t get otherwise. A lot of people have custom sculpts made that no one will ever get to print and they have one of a kind statues commissioned.
