Beautiful painting of cactus with flowers. I am in Phoenix, the desert trees and bushes are ablaze with color, the cactus are full of buds. I will miss this part of the desert when we move to Austin ! Thankyou for another great video. Jo Ann

You have been a great inspiration to me in reigniting my love of painting. Many years ago, I was an oil painter. Hi Ginger, Yup - I had one of the Matisse bottles. I bought it with some other paint so it wasn't part of any deal. I opened it and it was more solidified that yours was. Jerry's was great, I sent them a photo and they gave me store credit for the item! I'll only be buying tubes from now on! This was back in September and I bought it in July!

yes because rough canvas wears out the brushes and you use less paint.

Beautiful painting...loved watching! Question.....how did you keep the paint on the pallet from drying out while you where painting? TFS

The paint is piled as you see and I take a fine water mister bottle and spay every 30-50 minutes or so. You can also wet and acordian fold a paper down ina 2 -3 inch wide strip, wet so its damp and place strips around the outside of your palette paper. put you main piles of paint on this. It will keep it wet for hours.

Golden makes an acrylic paint called Golden Opens. Some artists have had good luck just buying the "Open" white it that and mixing it with their other regular acrylics to help them stay wet longer. ..just a thought.

its good to know that about yourself as that is often can be an indicator of a person who is very often detail oriented in their artwork. which is a good thing but may make impressionism more difficult.
