You made magic with those colored pencils. I was mesmerized by your work. All of a sudden those cherries were so shiny and realistic that I wanted to eat them. It was simply beautiful to watch you work. You are truly an artist and I am in awe of your talent!

As a beginner with WC Pencils I found this very useful and my finished cherry looks just grand... Not as good as yours of course. Thanks for sharing with us.

It is interesting that you can keep drawing with the colored water pencil on the wet surface but that is how it works. I've seen examples in advertising where they tell you that you can dip a watercolor pencil into water before drawing with it, so it is almost the same concept if you draw on the wet surface.

Beautiful job! But may I please suggest that for me it would be helpful to see your subject or reference photo, so I can see why you are doing certain things in certain areas. I know for some more advanced people they understand, but I am just learning, and it would be beneficial to me. I can only hope to be this good one day. 🍒

Very good skills. Some conflicting values in showing light direction. Blend into the darkest Two light sources or one? Hmmm.🤔 Stem shadow needs to be added from dominant light source. Blend lightest values into dark. Make any bottom reflected white equal around base. Overall a pretty good presentation.

I noticed you used your pencils quite blunt (not sharpened to a point), is this a personal preference thing or is this the recommended way to use watercolor pencils?
@PaintAcademy7 жыл бұрын
No, it's not recommended.

This is a good video the only thing is, you don’t narrate it so certain things can get difficult to understand. Like, thins like how wet should the brush be, how much pressure to apply to the paper, does it matter how sharp the pencils are? And such. Nonetheless, it’s a great video though.
