Oooh I’ve only ever read good things about owls and they are very meaningful in a positive way🤗 I love them and believe they’ve brought me good luck since seeing them in my yard and my dreams

@@joniyoungart You're one of the few I've known to report good luck w/them. But I've known a woman personally that just loved owls so much she had them all over her house. Nick-naks, coffee cups, towel sets, sculptures, paintings, pictures, etc. You name it, she had it. But w/all that collection she had the worst luck, she had 2 marriages fall apart, 2 sons died on her, she came down w/multiple sclerosis, she lost her home due to divorce & financial hardship from illness. Things just kept getting worse. Her MS was diagnosed as being the fast rapid decline without remittance. When I told her about owls being bad luck & they say not to have them in your home, she decided to get rid of her entire owl collection & within 1 year of her getting rid of them her MS did go into remission, her finances improved, & today she has a home of her own again. That was 18yrs ago that she got rid of her owls. Now is that just coincidence? Idk, maybe. For me, I'm not taking the chance. But I also have heard ppl swear that they're good luck for them. So maybe it's just a matter of what ppl believe & have faith in that makes the difference. Who knows. Either way I still do LOVE this painting though. 😊

Love this owl. I am not too good at colors like you are but I got to give this a try. I am learning that just because some animals have dull featherations that you can't add georgeous color to them. Thank you for being such a great teacher and just going for it. I lve the idea that you create a background and just play at making feathers to create a stunning pictue of this owl. I am blown away! I was wondering since drawing is one of my weaknesses if drawing with chalk first would be easier or should I try with paint? I’m just thinking what would be the easiest outcome? When I did the fox I outlined with chalk then painted him afterwards.

I recommend trying both ways, it will be great practice to paint it twice 👍 Freehand is easier for me but every artist is different xo

I also mainly use the Liquitex Basics paint and the turquoise I have in the Liquitex is much darker. The turquoise you're using appears much lighter and a more green blue.

It’s the bright aqua green one 😊 I have the regular blue turquoise too which is darker. They’re both fun to use

Colorful I'll give you that. But, at the part where the beak and eyes were uh, intimidating, it gave a different vibe that was making my mind think different about the owl. Maybe it was just me because I like the different colors once finished.
