This maybe a stupid question, I noticed you painted the fish first then the background, is that the proper way of doing it or can you paint it the other way round? Thank you. Cheers!

Mhairie, no, it is not a stupid question. I normally paint the background first, or rather from the farthest to the nearest to overcome the overlapping problem. Fortunately, with many years experience behind me, I am able to do it successfully the other way around.
