Thank you Chu. It's because I was painting in a watercolor journal - Strathmore 500 series (however I don't recommend this paper for landscapes, the paper lifts too easily)🙋🏻‍♀️🌸

Hi Harshal 🌸🤗thank you so much, glad you enjoyed it. I’ve had this Strathmore Travel book for almost a year 😅and the paper is a bit too slippery for me if that makes sense.. but I don’t like to give up quickly on papers especially if they are considered to be good quality. So I decided to give it another chance. Still different and I prefer Arches but its actually very easy to paint a sky on this paper. It’s cold Pressed but it has a feel of a Hot Pressed to it 🤗

Someone else might have asked this ... but I've never seen this Imperial paper by Strathmore. I do not like the cheaper paper, is this as good as Arches? Your painting is stunningly gorgeous, by the way!!! I want to try this.

Hi Cassie, thank you so much :) I have had this Strathmore book - Imperial 500 series watercolor paper Cold pressed for almost a year now and I couldn't get myself to paint on it because it seems "slippery" to me, finally I decided to give it another try and it works great for painting smooth skies for example, I have also painted animals on it etc. but I still prefer arches because its much easier to add layers on arches. To answer your question yes, this paper is considered the best paper Strathmore makes. It feels very smooth for a Cold pressed, it's totally a personal preference and what you like to paint🤗

Hi, I most of time time use a small brush, small 1/4 angular brush by Princeton, very beat up, super damaged but it's stiff and that's what you want. I rub it off my finger most of the time but when you tap on a brush you want to have enough water and paint on your brush 🌸.
