@@DanielleTrudeauStudios learnt a few things as well. Question, how do you choose the glaze colour? Is burnt umber always a go to for eyes, or can there be different colors, thanks once again
@DanielleTrudeauStudios3 жыл бұрын
Ooh good question! For glazes they need to be transparent pigments to start, so that definitely limits you. I love using Burnt umber and burnt Sienna as glaze colours because they are transparent, but because they work really well with Wildlife. Burnt umber adds a cool brown shadow, and burnt Sienna adds a beautiful warmth. Otherwise I can choose different colours of paint for different colours of glazes - like adding washes of purple, blue or green. Hope that helps!

Thanks for another great video!! I seem to have a problem with getting the paint to flow on a piece of canvas paper like that, do you prime the paper with anything before you start painting?
@DanielleTrudeauStudios3 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed it! I do work with a primed surface, but have you tried thinning out the paint with medium or even paint thinner? Oil paint can be super thick, it’ll definitely help!

Thank you! I’m horrible at drawing horse eyes and this helped! But I have trouble with understanding what different brushes can do. I have no idea how to make textures I want and it’s a big issue for me. All my art is motion-less. Please help. I can see that you understand everything that brushes do. I would love to know we’re to buy brushes online too. Thank you!
