I am an artist residing in beautiful washington state! My paintings are heavily inspired by nature and its beauty. I work primarily in oil paint, and sometimes watercolor. I prefer to work in a mostly realistic style and occasionally experiment outside of that. I’ve put down the brush for almost 3 years, pursued other hobbies, but always felt a part of me was missing, and that was oil painting. Remembering how happy I was when I was painting, and felt self accomplished. This “paint along” will help me jump back in. Thanks for the video Lena! Much appreciated, I’ll paint with you.

Thank you for all your hard work Lena. I don’t know what it is but you’ve got something special, I feel inspired already to make the slightest steps towards coming back to an oil painting that’s been patiently waiting for me to return to it. Things have been rough lately so it feels potentially necessary haha Edit: longer form on KZbin is great, I feel like listening/partially watching this while painting might be great for pushing through tough parts of paintings by engaging the ol’ mirror neurons with what feels like company

May the paint be with you. Nice mixture of realtime with explanations, and fast-forward of more repetitive sections. I like seeing the reference photo and your pallet as you paint. The near-real-time parts enable me to compare what you work on first, leave to later, or omit to my tendencies [e.g., I kept wanting to hit the light highlight and hairs on right side of leaf and the nodules/bumps on the left edge].

May the paint be with you! I loved every bit of the video, not all "real time pain" videos are bearable. (Not to sound rude)Maybe its the voice-over, but it was nice the hear smooth explanation, no stutter and what not.
