Thank you. As far as tube sizes, if you’re just starting out, get a big tube of titanium white, and small ones of cadmium yellow light, yellow ochre, cadmium red medium, alizarin crimson, burnt sienna, burnt umber, and ultramarine blue.

would love to get some more insight into your color mixing process (mediums, ratios, technique) its hard to follow when sped up and without some commentary from you . Also would appreciate your input regarding your brushwork, how you avoid picking up laid color when working wet-on-wet. Love your work, would love to learn and see more.

I'm working on a version of this video in real time with commentary. In the mean time, there are a couple of painting on my channel that have commentary for you to check out. I use linseed oil to thin my paint and work from thin to thick to avoid picking up previously laid paint.

Honesty, I have a ton of brushes, most of which have been used so much, you can't read the labels on them. All I can say, is I use filbert hog bristle brushes for most of the painting, and sable brushes for finer detail. Blick makes descent bristle brushes that are inexpensive.

Very good painting and demo. I wonder what green are you using ? and please, the whole painting has been made in one session. If yes, why superficial layers don't mix with the firs layer of painting ? Thank you

One session of about 3 hours. I use chromium green mixed with other colors. You have to start thin and get thicker. This way colors don't mix into the previous layer as much.
