Black trim would be stunning, especially on the mirror brackets and frames and possibly housing for roof lights. Not necessarily door frames, it might become too hot when accidentally touched. I admit the current blue is cool and refreshing.

Now that the bus's exterior has no character anymore, its in desperate need of ANYTHING. A white roof perhaps and as you said some contrasting trim, desperately needed. It looks terrible now

Clear coat/Protective coat. Especially with the wind and sand/dirt. Will chew through that paint fast

There will already be dirt on it Its supposed to be : undercoat Topcoat Clearcoat But obv by painting out in the open and not in a proper booth there's gonna be tonnes of imperfections

@@TheLunnyBear I guess. The whole paint job in general is going to be of questionable quality because of all the dust outdoors. I can see doing the whole DIY thing, but it should have been at least painted indoors somewhere to cut down on dust and bugs getting into the various coats of paint.

Other than doing some KZbin research he had no clue how to do most of the things he did. I abhor the color choices he made. Praying he makes smarter decisions with this house.

A lot of skoolie builders use white isulating silicon paint to lower the temp inside and seal leaks.

The whole time I thought the bus was like a historic tribute to El Reno school system considering its a one of a kind schoolie. I never thought it would be painted. Plus I felt like it added to it stealth.

I would have on the windows you want to cover black them out from the inside and leave the glass unpainted just simple black spray paint works great. It keeps the look consistent painting glass always looks funky after a few years

I cant help but think your montage in this particular video reminds me of Mister Rogers...the melody of the synthesized bells is what did it for me... awesome work. 👨‍🎨 I also used to work at a lumber mill here in town and used a paint sprayer using a waxy paint to paint the ends of the flush cut bundles to prevent the wood from splitting as well as the emblem...

For masking tape you should use frog tape, there’s a much cleaner line than used from regular masking tape especially with a more liquidy paint it tends to deep down behind the tape

No disrespect. I love this series and your channel in general. Although you’ve left no character in this bus what so ever, e.g. the stop sign and the decals. Personally I think they add a nice original touch and if some were kept, it could’ve made it more retro and would fit with the interior.

LoVe it and Thanks for the tips- I Think contrast with the White roof and heat reflective paint on the roof pod look nice and be practical for a bus. Then I even think a contrast of white on the window frames would be nice but that’s pretty detailed and hard to do , so I think just the roof would be good.

Loved how the whole thing came out it inspired me for a build design....the only thing that got me though was using paint over dust and dirt and possibly what was house paint that will eventually crack as the body bends and twists with car motion and vibration. The other small thing was i loved the paint until the more i looked at it i realized 2 things....that blue is close to the blue used on prison buses and the name of the paint "Big Chill" is also a nickname for prisons LOL..."The Big Chill", "The Ice House"...etc...lmao....but over all its a nice build!!!!!!!

Ready for some retro pin lines. Deep blue and Burgundy? Maybe? Big Chill looks suspiciously like Bahama Reef (in acrylic all-weather exterior low sheen). Very cool. I'm about to paint a Toyota Coaster. Normally use brushes and rollers... but a Spray unit might be the way. Tar for sharing.
