Everything you said about water color is true! I have dilagently been learning and painting everyday for over 2 years and have just begun getting my water paint ratio, Also holding my brush to the side. You feal like it will never come and then poof you realize you're finally catching on. A good quality brush and some arch's paper really helps in the beginning to keep you going and interested. Thankyou keep the teachings coming.

You really are a great teacher! I know you sorta mentioned that statement in contrast to saying you are maybe a better teacher than an artist, but either way, im glad to hear you say that you are a good teacher because you are and you should own it! I don’t know much about water color but after only hearing a few minutes of your video, i was thinking about how wonderful and natural of a teacher you are! You explain things so nicely and simply and i can really tell how much you enjoy it. And i really love how much emphasis you put on “playing.” I think that’s so great! That’s really what it should be. Your enthusiasm for watercolor reminds me of my enthusiasm for gardening. And i just like to think about getting out in the garden to play and feel freedom and wonder and awe at all the beauty around us. Im glad you have that in watercolor and share it with others! And yes, those are zinnias. At least all of the flowers that are in focus are zinnias. That second yellow flower is pretty full for a zinnia, but im still assuming its a zinnia as well.

Hi Susan. This video is so helpful. It's super exciting watching your pastel teaching style translate into watercolors. You are very encouraging and really help explain things well. Thank you for making this video. I'm trying to paint along but watercolors seem to have a mind of their own. 😊

Oh Honey, watercolors do you have a mind of their own. It took me quite a while to figure out how they are different from soft pastels. But now I really embrace their unique qualities.

I love listening as you explain the why of watercolor painting! Only a few months of watercolor and just started to use Arches tablets... I buy them whenever I see a deal... anyway, what a learning curve! Brush, paint to water ratio... wow! I absolutely love ❤ your loose creations, but like you used to do, I also paint like a paint by number. My desire is to keep at this, but at almost 70, I'll be 120 before I use up art 🎨 supplies ! Thank 😊 🙏 you Susan!!! With love, from a California Gramma ❤

Ann.... I just love you sweetheart. I can tell we would just hit if off if we met. I know what you mean about using up art supplies.... I'm definitely going to have to "will" mine to a family member, ha ha!! Keep your passion and enjoying every minute of the learning process. :)

That’s wonderful, Kathy! I have someone who follows me on my Patreon page who is in her 80s and just starting to paint. It’s never too late! I have lots of soft pastel tutorials on my channel, but I do love watercolor painting. I have more watercolor, flower, painting, tutorials, that I will be uploading soon, hopefully.

Hi sweetie, I’m not sure if you’re talking about mini tutorials for watercolor painting because I literally just had some tiny paintings in pastel all of last month. You might be talking about the ones that are on the way. I’ll have four other floral watercolor tutorials coming this month. So keep an eye out and I hope it is helpful!
